Come learn about the architecture and history. Walk on the famous glass floors and peer down the well built into the stage. Meet on the Lower Level. Free. Just show up!

Saturday, January 18, 11 AM to 1 PM Handley Library, Benham Gallery Join us at Handley Library the first and third Saturday of every month for a writing group led by Project Write! The first hour will be used for everyone to write (with optional prompts), and then everyone will have the opportunity to share their work during the second hour. Free and open to the public. Thursday, January 30, 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Handley Library, Benham Gallery Local historian Gene Schultz will tell the story of the Handley Plaques: commemorative markers laid near Handley High School in 1924 to honor veterans of World War I from the Winchester-Frederick County Area. Learn about how these plaques were rediscovered and the stories of the individuals they commemorate. Archives After Hours is designed to provide a close-up look at our collections and the work we do every day in the Stewart Bell Jr. Archives. Following the presentation, attendees are welcome to participate in a short tour of the Archives. Space is limited for this event and registration is required.
