Monday, May 19, 6:00-7:00pm Open to 3rd-8th graders - Join us as we welcome C’Anna Write, local author of “Essence Grove: A Storybook Brought to Life”.
- Essence Grove is an immersive storytelling experience designed to encourage creativity, imagination, and artistic expression.
- C’Anna will read us a passage from “Essence Grove” and walk us through her journey to becoming published. Participants can write and/or draw something inspired by the story.
- Each attendee will have the chance to make a Petal Pines Paper Lantern!

- New or struggling readers in grades K-5 are invited to sign up for a 15-minute "Paws for Reading" session with one of our local certified therapy dogs.
- The goal is to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which kids can read without correction or interruption and learn not just to read, but to love reading as well.
- A handful of books will be available, but feel free to bring one from home. Each child will have one-on-one reading time.

TumbleBooks TumbleBooks is an online collection of e-books for children. They are a great way to encourage tech-savvy kids to enjoy reading! There are over 250 animated, talking picture books. The site also features Spanish and French books, read-along chapter books, nonfiction books, graphic novels, and exciting games and puzzles! You can use your computer, tablet, or mobile phone to access TumbleBooks. All you need is an internet connection. There are no downloads: books are streamed right to your device at the click of a button.
