- Parents and kids will draw together, stretch their creativity, practice resilience, and build trust. This workshop emphasizes connection, communication and innovation.

Stickler, a one-of-a-kind creature made of sticks, is giving his friends Valentine's Day sticks, but none of them are interested in Valentine's sticks. Crow says he prefers fine, shiny things, Beaver likes receiving funny cards, and Wolf doesn't care for Valentine's sticks - they're too small to chew on! When Stickler tries to offer Cat a Valentine stick, she does not want one. "Hmm..." he wonders, "Maybe Valentine's Day is not about what Stickler loves, but what others love."

Wednesday, February 25, 5:30-7:00pm - New or struggling readers in grades 1-5 are invited to sign up for a 15-minute "Paws for Reading" session with one of our local certified therapy dogs on Wednesday, February 25.
- The goal is to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which kids can read without correction or interruption and learn not just to read, but to love reading as well.
- A handful of books will be available.
- Register for one 15-minute timeslot:
5:30-5:45pm , 5:45-6:00pm , 6:00-6:15pm , 6:15-6:30pm , 6:30-6:45pm , 6:45-7:00pm

Ages 7-10. Meet Max, a Little Axolotl! It's Max's first day at Coral Elementary school. The school is filled with marine animals, like dolphins, crabs, and octopus. But none of the other students have ever seen an axolotl before... and they have SO MANY QUESTIONS. Where did Max live before? Is it true he can regrow any of his limbs? What happened to his old friends? This is too much attention for Max! Can this little axolotl adjust to his new underwater school or will the pressure just be too much?

But during a visit to the National Museum of Natural History, the rarely seen luna moth for which Luna was named sparks her curiosity. Using her mother's old naturalist notebooks as a guide, Luna, who has always preferred the indoors, endeavors to see a real luna moth with her own eyes. Learning more about nature just might help her make a new friend, figure out how to feel at home in her new life, and understand the mother she never got the chance to know.

Pickup begins on Tuesday, February 24 - Celebrate St. Patrick's Day by making a shamrock-themed T-Rex or Stegosaurus that walks when wound up! You will receive a kit which contains peel-and-stick foam parts and a plastic wind-up base.
- If the registration list is full, please add yourself to the waitlist, as we often have kits not picked up promptly that we can offer to the waitlist.
- Kits will be available to pick up in the curbside lobby beginning Tuesday, February 24th. Any kits not picked up by Tuesday, March 3rd will be offered to children on the waitlist.\
