Participation Guidelines: - This reading challenge is for ages 2-12 years old.
- Grab a Reading is Cool program card from the front desk at LTPL between February 16 and March 27. Read five books to get your card stamped by a LTPL staff member and receive a free ticket to The Cat in the Hat stage show at The Fox Theatre!
- Turn in your stamped card to LTPL to receive the code for a ticket, which will be valid for the Saturday, March 28 show at 11am, 2pm, or 5pm.
- One free child ticket is available with each paid adult ticket. Caregivers must purchase their own tickets.
- PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS ON THE READING IS COOL PROGRAM CARD BEFORE PARTICIPATING!!

Please come to the last book sale in our current library building! The March 2026 book sale dates and times are as follows: Thursday, March 12, 10:00am - 8:30pm Friday, March 13, 10:00am - 4:30pm Saturday, March 14, 10:00am - 4:30pm Sunday, March 15, 12:00pm - 3:30pm We are accepting donations of used books and DVDs in good condition until Wednesday, March 11. We cannot accept text books, encyclopedias, magazines or VHS tapes. Donations can be dropped off at the Circulation Desk during normal library hours.

Each card indicates the needed pieces, then has a shape. Use the indicated pieces to build the shape directly on top of the drawn shape on the card. There are 6 cards for each of the 5 skill levels.

Ages 4+. Create a winding gear train, a cranking tower with a fan or any wacky interlocking contraption you can imagine! Build tall, build wide ... Or both! The possibilities are endless! Supports STEM by encouraging creativity, design, critical thinking, problem solving and step-by-step construction.

We're cleaning out the craft closet and creating mystery kits full of all sorts of cool crafting materials for kiddos to create anything they can imagine. Every kit will be slightly different, so you never know what you'll get! Kits will be available to pick up in the curbside lobby beginning Tuesday, March 17th. Any kits not picked up by Tuesday, March 24th will be offered to the waitlist.

Tweens and teens aged 8-17 can sign up to receive a Take-and-Make STEM Kit to make a Bristle Bot. Bristle Bots are little robots made of toothbrush heads that vibrating motors propel around Kits will be available to pick up in the curbside lobby beginning Tuesday, March 24. Any kits not picked up by Tuesday, March 31, will be offered to the waitlist.

Five Children and IT Ages 10-11 Curious to see if people on the other side of the globe walk upside down, Robert, Anthea, Cyril, Jane, and their baby brother start digging a hole to Australia. They don't get too far, however, before they dig up a furry brown creature with bat's ears. It is a Psammead, an ancient Sand-fairy. The Sammyadd, as the children call it, grumpily tells them that he is obliged to grant their wishes, because making people's wishes come true is what Sand-fairies do. However, there is one catch: the wishes come undone at sunset. No matter how carefully the children plan, their wishes keep backfiring, and they realize that you have to be careful what you wish for—you may get it.
