Saturday, March 8 Seismic waves move energy through the earth resulting in EARTHQUAKES! Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium staff will be here to help children work together to engineer earthquake resistant towers then test their designs on the earthquake shake table to see if they can survive a quake. Adult assistance will be required, so caregivers should plan to stay in the room to help their kiddos. Open to children aged 9 years old or older.

Strawberry Shortcake and her friends are having the berry best time preparing for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade and festival. Everyone except Lemon Meringue, that is! Everything Lemon does seems to go wrong. When Strawberry sees how upset her friend is, she comes up with a fruitastic plan to turn Lemon's day around.

- New or struggling readers in grades K-5 are invited to sign up for a 15-minute "Paws for Reading" session with one of our local certified therapy dogs.
- The goal is to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which kids can read without correction or interruption and learn not just to read, but to love reading as well.
- A handful of books will be available, but feel free to bring one from home. Each child will have one-on-one reading time.
- Register for a 15-minute timeslot:
5:30-5:45pm , 5:45-6:00pm , 6:00-6:15pm , 6:15-6:30pm , 6:30-6:45pm , 6:45-7:00pm.

Kits will be available to pick up in the curbside lobby beginning Tuesday, March 18th. Any kits not picked up by Tuesday, March 25th will be offered to children on the wait list.
