Discontinuation of hoopla
Town Hall Library is committed to fiscal responsibility and ensuring sustainable services for all patrons. In response to the growing demand for digital materials, both at our library and throughout the library system, we have conducted a comprehensive review of digital borrowing trends and performed a budget analysis.
We are focusing our funding on the continued development of our robust digital collections within the Libby app, which includes access to digital books, audiobooks, and magazines. We will be discontinuing the Hoopla service on November 15, 2025.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support. We are happy to answer questions and provide assistance in accessing our digital resources. |

Erik Richter, local author, shares how THL supports his family and career:
“The Town Hall Library has been invaluable to both my family and my writing journey. My boys eagerly look forward to the library, not just for the books, but also for the educational toys that foster their love of learning. Librarians greet us by name and eagerly help when my sons are excited about their holds. These weekly visits let us connect and create memories beyond the books we bring home.
As a self-published author, I'm grateful for the library’s backing. They didn't just place my books on their shelves, they gave my stories a chance to find new readers. This means everything to independent authors who lack traditional publishing resources. Their support of local voices strengthens our community's literary landscape and provides visibility for works that might otherwise go unnoticed.” |

Don't miss Erik's upcoming Author Talk on September 30.
Learn about the inspiration for his new book The Portrait of Eloise Leclair, his historical research process, and his publishing journey. This program includes an interactive game for attendees!
