Light is everywhere—in sunlight, moonlight, even the glow of a phone screen. Artists have always tried to capture it, but Rembrandt took it to another level. His paintings don’t just show light, they feel like they mean something. There’s mystery, emotion, and a kind of spiritual vibe that’s hard to explain but impossible to ignore. Come explore the life and work of Rembrandt van Rijn, one of history’s most legendary artists, in a talk led by Professor Karri Fritz-Klaus from the Cornerstone History Symposium.
This is the third lecture in the five-part series The Spirituality of Light: A Moral Compass. Mark your calendars for the remaining presentations (1/6: Klimt, 2/13: Turner).
