Events for Kids — January 2026 |

Stuffed Animal Sleepover! Sunday, January 18 • 1–3 pm
Give your stuffed animal a night of wonder and adventure at the Library! Kids can drop off a stuffed animal of their choice and learn about their adventures the next day. Pickup will be Monday, January 19, and we will be offering a pancake breakfast starting at 9 am. If you’re unable to make it during that time, you will still be able to pick up the stuffed animals for the rest of that day.
Registration is required. Please register each child with a description of their stuffed animal and their stuffed animal’s name. Registration closes on January 14.

Monthly Reading Challenges are Back!
Read 10 hours this month and earn a Beardie Buck good for $1 toward the purchase of a Friends Book Sale item! Visit the New Children’s Shelf to pick up your log. Track your reading and return the completed log to the desk within the first week of February to receive your Beardie Buck. All ages.

Monster Jam Reading ChallengeDecember 1–January 31 • Ages 2–12
Earn a free child ticket to Monster Jam at the Fiserv Forum on Saturday, January 31 at 6 pm! Pick up your log in the Children’s Area, read five books, and visit the desk to complete your log. Visit the box office and turn in the stamped log to reserve a child ticket for a show with the purchase of an adult ticket.
