Now through August 2!

Open to Kids, Teens, & Adults!

Track reading and log activities to earn books, coupons, and tickets for prize drawings. This year our summer reading is on paper logs that you can pick up at the Summer Reading Room until August 2. You will still have the option to sign up online.

Journey of Dragons: A Library Challenge

June 2-August 29

Whispers echo through the realms—tales of Guardian Dragons, the ancient keepers of wisdom who scattered their secrets across the land to protect them from being lost to time.

Now, the legends stir once more. The dragons’ hidden knowledge awaits discovery within the four great realms of Bridges Library System.

Join a party of adventurers on a legendary journey. Visit libraries, gather letters and stamps, then piece together passwords to unlock the magic the dragons left behind.

Where’s Waldo? In Oconomowoc, of course! To join in the fun, pick up a Find Waldo Passport at Books & Company. Collecting store stamps or signatures at businesses for entry into drawings for Waldo books and other prizes! Visit booksco.com for more information.

Oconomowoc Isthmus History Walk

Saturdays, July 5 and August 2 • 9-10 am

Meet up at Veterans Memorial Park for a walk down memory lane. Learn about the history of the settlers who founded Oconomowoc, the families who built the architectural jewels on our lakes, and our community that has thrived for more than 150 years!

Be inspired and put your own stories into words in a supportive and inclusive environment. Share your work, discuss writing techniques, and give and receive feedback from other writers.

Monday, July 7 • 7-8 pm

Join us for the OPL's Rambling Readers, a new read-anything walking book club. Chat about what you're reading and get ideas for what to read next, all while walking around Fowler Lake (~2 miles).

Meet on the library steps at 7 pm wearing comfortable walking shoes. We'll start walking toward Lac La Belle at 7:05.

Books & Company and the Oconomowoc Public Library presents author Dean Robbins for his essay collection Wisconsin Idols: 100 Heroes Who Changed the State, the World, and Me.

A Q&A will follow the presentation, as well as a book signing with the author.
