One Desk to Rule Them All

We’re making your library experience simpler and more convenient. Our circulation and reference desks have combined into one central service desk. You’re now able to check out materials, get research help, and ask questions—all at one desk!

No more wondering where to go—just stop by the single service desk for quick, friendly assistance. Our staff is ready to help with everything from account questions to finding your next great read.

However, the work is not yet finished, so your Library will need to close for a couple of days. We can’t give exact dates yet, but we’ll keep you updated as plans develop.

Thank you for your patience as we improve your library experience!

Open Holds

We’re making it easier than ever to pick up your reserved items! Our new Open Holds Shelf will let you grab your holds without waiting in line. Simply find your items on the shelf, then check out at a self-checkout station or the desk! It’s quick, convenient, and gives you more flexibility.

This change means faster service, more privacy, and a smoother library experience. Need a hand? Our staff is always happy to help if you have questions or need assistance with checkout. Stop by and try it out—you’ll love how easy it is to get your books, movies, and more!

Cookie Walk Fundraiser Recap

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the Friends of the Oconomowoc Public Library Cookie Walk a success!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our bakers, makers, and volunteers, we raised over $1,000 through sweet treats and stocking stuffers. These funds will directly support Friends’ programs and projects—everything from Explore Passes, to caring for Clementine (our beloved bearded dragon ambassador), to prizes for the summer reading program, and more.

A special thank you to those who devoted countless hours creating cookies, candy, soap, quilted and crocheted items, and other wonderful donations. So many visitors shared how delighted they were to find such thoughtful gifts, and one even planned to send cookies all the way to Florida!

We also appreciate the volunteers who helped during the sale! You all made the day festive and fun!

Thank you for helping us spread holiday cheer and support our library community!
