Monster Jam Reading Challenge


December 1–January 31 • Ages 2–12


Earn a free child ticket to Monster Jam at the Fiserv Forum on Saturday, January 31 at 6 pm! Pick up your log in the Children’s Area, read five books, and visit the Reference Desk to complete your log. Visit the box office and turn in the stamped log to reserve a child ticket for a show with the purchase of an adult ticket.

December 8–February 16 • Ages 2–12


Earn a free child ticket to Disney on Ice at the Fiserv Forum for select performances February 12–16. Visit a variety of holiday crafting stations with all supplies provided for adults, teens, and kids to make gifts to share.

Annual membership fees help support the Friends fundraising efforts and give members early access to book sales.

Pajama Storytime

Tuesday, December 9 • 6:30–7:30 pm


‘Twas a week before the holidays and your family did say, “Let’s go to the Library and hear stories today!” Bundle up in your coziest pajamas, wrap yourselves in some blankets, and enjoy a holiday storytime AND a visit from Santa!

Shorehaven Storytime

Friday, December 12 • 10–11 am


Join the library in caring and sharing with our friends at Shorehaven! This intergenerational storytime features moving, shaking, singing, and reading, all in the spirit of being together in our community.

The Enchanted Library At-Home Mystery
Begins Monday, December 15


Libraries are full of books and knowledge, and you’ve just been locked inside one that is enchanted! You’ll need to prove your wisdom by solving the library’s riddles in order to escape! 


Visit the New Children’s Shelf to pick up your family packet of puzzles, available Monday, December 15–Tuesday, December 23. 


Solve the mystery and return to the Reference Desk by Friday, January 2 to enter a drawing for Really Loud Librarians Grab & Game and read the answer sheet. Recommended for ages 8+ years.

TWEEN (AGES 8-12)

SmACK (Smart, Awesome, Cool Kids) at the Library 

Monday, December 1 • 4-5 pm


If you are between the ages of 8-11 and tired of being too old for storytime but too young for teen events, we want to hear from you! Join SmACK and let us know what you want to see for your age group at the Library. SmACK is an after-school meetup for active kids who want to be involved at the Library and in their community. Each meeting features activities, snacks, volunteering, thoughtful discussions, and more. Registration is required.

Bookmark Makers

Monday, December 8 • 6–8 pm


Ever wonder how you could share your creative side with the rest of the community? Join our monthly bookmark-making bonanza! Make one (or more) to give away to patrons at the library and one to take home! 


Supplies provided but feel free to bring your own paper arts and ribbon supplies to embellish!
