Take the Challenge: Your Summer of Reading Starts Here

June 8–August 8

Looking for a fun, flexible way to stay engaged this summer? Your Library’s Summer Reading Program invites readers of all ages to take part in a challenge built around progress, discovery, and rewards.

The program is simple: complete six steps to finish the challenge, with optional bonus steps for extra fun. Each completed step earns a ticket for prize drawings, so every bit of progress brings new opportunities.

Your age determines how much reading is required per step:

  • Ages 0–3: Read 20 books

  • Ages 4–12: Read two hours

  • Teens & adults: Read four hours

You can also complete three out of five possible activities to earn an additional prize drawing ticket—perfect for hands-on learners and creative thinkers.

Along the way, you’ll earn rewards like books and coupons after completing three steps and again when you finish the challenge after completing six steps. Then, at the end of the summer, all your tickets go into prize drawings for a chance to win even more.

Sign up online starting Monday, June 1, and pick up your Reading Logs in our Summer Reading Room starting Monday, June 8
