Homeschool @ the Library Tuesday, October 13 • 2–3 pm Homeschool families are invited to gather for a special lesson. Best for ages 8–12. Children ages 5–7 will require assistance from either an adult or older sibling. Registration is required for each student.
This month: Science Fair Presentations. October is different from the other Homeschool @ the Library programs. Rather than coming to do an activity, you’ll prepare your own project in the weeks leading up to our meeting and give a short presentation. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
-
Pick out a science experiment that is a good fit for you and your family. You are encouraged to do an experiment with adult help, but if you have young siblings, you are welcome to do one as a group.
-
Use the scientific method to complete your experiment.
-
Create a poster or visual that shows your experiment and results.
-
Bring your poster/visual to our October 13 program and share your experiment and results with the group (up to five minutes).
-
We want everyone to feel like they can participate. If you need assistance getting materials in order to participate, please talk to Jennie (jfidler@oconomowoclibrary.org).
