Construction and Curbside
| We are finishing Phase 2 of the construction on May 31st. We will begin Phase 3 on June 1st. For the first 3 weeks of Phase 3 the library will be closed to the public as we have to move all the books from their current location to the new side of the library. Once that is done we will be starting curbside service on June 23rd.

Whitewater Community Foundation Community Action Grant
| The library was awarded a Whitewater Community Foundation Community Action Grant of $4,500.00 for an AWE Literacy Station. AWE Learning provides literacy-focused digital learning solutions for early learners in public libraries. AWE’s mission is to inspire an enthusiasm for learning by supporting school readiness and literacy in the community. AWE Learning excels at providing fun and interactive learning to set children on the path for success beginning at a young age. |

Meet our Library Board President
| Jennifer Motszko has been on the Whitewater Public Library Board since 2021 and has served as Board President since 2023. When not working hard as Library Board President Jennifer is the Head of Archives & Area Research Center at the Andersen Library located on the campus of University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. Jennifer has been a huge part of the library remodel and construction project! |

Track your reading during the library’s Summer Reading Program and earn prizes! Runs June 9 - August 1.
To participate, pick up a reading log at the library, at any library event, or at whitewaterlibrary.org. Children & Teens: Read at least 20 minutes/day for 30 days to earn a prize!
Complete at least 6 activities to earn another prize. Finish the reading and activities and get entered into the grand prize drawing!
Adults: Read at least 20 minutes/day for 30 days to earn a prize. You will also be entered into a grand prize drawing! |
