Tech Help by Appointment
Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM
Do you need help getting around your laptop or tablet? Would you like to set up an email account? Do you want to download an eBook? Need help searching for and applying for jobs? Tech help appointments are now available. Appointments last up to 1 hour. Registration is required. 
 
Trivia Night
Friday, October 10, doors open at 6:00 pm
It's trivia night and your team might win a prize! Teams can be up to 4 people, and if you don't have a team you can join one. Please bring something for the potluck table; we'll provide the mocktails. You might even win a door prize! For adults 18+. Registration is required. The library is closed from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm then will be open to adults from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
 
Art Reception & Exhibit
Monday, October 13 at 7:00 pm
Awakening and the Artist Within Us! Salina Library will host a reception for new, emerging, and experienced artists who met at OCM-BOCES on Monday, October 13th from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Individuals, families, couples and friends participated in various art classes that met their interests as they set and achieved new art goals over a span of 4 weeks for personal satisfaction and wellness. Each used various art materials and methods for awakening their inner artist. Meet the artists at the reception or view their work displayed throughout the month of October.
 
Book Sale
Saturday, October 18 from 10 am till 2 pm
The Friends of Salina Library book sale will be happening from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs, and more! The $5 bag sale is 1:00 - 2:00 pm.
 
Fill-a-Bag Book Sale

The Friends of Salina Library book sale continues with a bag sale! Monday 10-8 fill a bag for $4, Tuesday 10-8 $3, Wednesday 10-8 $2, Thursday 10-1 $1. Bargains galore!

How to Replace Your Lawn

Learn about the practical skills involved in creating a natural yard, how to maintain it, and the benefits of having native plants. Hosted by Mattydale resident Jordyn Worshek, their goal is to spread knowledge to neighbors and to foster community through adopting this method. For adults 18+. Please register.

Socialize and have fun playing bingo! Bring a new item under $5 for the prize table; it can be anything from a candy bar to a bar of soap. Use your imagination! You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks, or there are some for sale at the library. For adults 18+. Please register.

Dance Party
Friday, October 31 at 11:00 am
Dance for an hour with your friends, or sit and enjoy the music and the company! For adults with disabilities 18+, along with a mentor or family member. The room is available from 12-1 pm for lunch, if you'd like to stay after the dance. Please register everyone in your group, including mentors and family members.

Senior Social Club
Wednesdays at 10:30 am
Enjoy the conversation as you create! Bring your own coloring supplies or use ours, bring your knit or crochet project, or work on our puzzle that can be rolled up and worked on again the next week. Don’t like to craft? Just hang out and make friends. For adults 50+. Please register.
 
Neurodiversity Meetup
Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 pm
Neurodivergent adults can meet new people in our quiet room with low lighting; there are even 4 bean bag chairs for comfy lounging. Bring a snack and a drink, whatever makes you feel comfortable, or even an item to talk about. If you like, you can bring a person along who helps ease any anxiety. For adults 18+. Please register.
