Tiny Art Show
Vote for your favorite tiny art creations July 2nd-19th!
London Public Library
Come to the library to vote for your favorite artwork from July 2nd - 19th and the winner of each age group will receive a prize!
Artist Series: Kandinsky Creations
Thursday, July 3rd, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Mimic artist Wassily Kandinsky, by painting or coloring squares with concentric circles.
CLOSED - Independence Day

London Public Library
The London Public Library will be closed all day on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. The library will resume normal hours of operation on Saturday, July 5th.
Chocolate Challenge

Nerd Night

Summer Concert Series: Deanna Sweeney

Join us on the grass behind the library for a free lunch and a concert by Deanna Sweeney! In the case of bad weather, the concert will be moved inside to the Hartley Meeting Room.

Yarnies: Fiber Arts Club

Join us for an hour of crafting! If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or any other fiber arts please join us for an hour of socializing and crafting! Whether you're a beginner or an expert, bring along your current project and work alongside others who enjoy crafting as much as you! This is not a class, but we do encourage anyone that comes to share their skills with beginners if they feel so inclined. Yarnies will meet in the Magazine/Newspaper room upstairs in the library, across from the front desk.

Raptor Flight Program

Ohio School of Falconry will bring a variety of owls and falcons and teach about the use of camouflage in raptors. Some lucky spectators will get to have a raptor fly to the glove!

End of Summer Reading Party

Celebrate the end of summer with a spectacular party at the library! Join us for face painting, snow cones, a life-sized Angry Birds game, and squirt gun painting (bring your own shirts to paint). Cinderella and Prince Charming will also be making a guest appearance so mark your calendars and come party with us!

Enjoy a free lunch at the library! Any student 18 years old or younger can stop by the London Public Library for a free lunch from 12:00pm - 1:00pm! Lunches will be provided by and also available at the London Church of the Nazarene. Lunch will be served in the grassy area behind the library. If bad weather occurs, lunch will be served in the Hartley Room.

Simple Machine Treehouse

During this groovy simple machines-focused event hosted by Challenge Island, we’ll blast back to the 1970s! We’ll learn about all six kinds of simple machines. We’ll design pet rock treehouses powered by simple machines! You’ll get to take home your adopted pet rocks as a souvenir. (Ages 5-12)
Stuffed Animal Giveaway

D&D One Shot Campaign

Decades Trivia Night

How well do you know the 80s, 90s, and 2000s? Find out at our decades trivia night! Gather your friends and family for a fun-filled evening of brain-teasing questions and friendly competition. Teams are capped at 5 people. When registering, please choose only one person to register for your team. The registration form will ask how many guests that you are bringing. Book Speed Dating

Can you convince someone to read your favorite book in just 3 minutes? Come mingle with other teens and see if you are able to persuade them to read your book suggestions! Feel free to bring more than one book so you can talk about different books to different people. (Ages 11-17) Registration not required but suggested. If you would like to attend, you can email a list of the books you intend to bring to aratcliff@mylondonlibrary.org and copies of your books will be provided so that others may check them out.

Are you struggling to work the new iPad you got for Christmas? Maybe you want to set up a social media account but don't know where to start? Do you want to become more knowledgeable on how to work your email? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the London Public Library can help! We are now offering FREE Technology Help Sessions during the week by appointment only! Call or come in to schedule your help session! Each help session will provide a one-on-one 45-minute time block where you can ask questions and be shown how to use/do various tasks. Help session attendees must bring their own technology to learn on.
