Have a chance to win prizes just for checking out materials at the library! For every 5 items that you check out in a single transaction, you’ll earn a ticket to put in the drawing of your choice. Paws for Reading with Emma
Tuesday, March 10th, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
London Public Library Reading Room
Read to a real dog! Register your child for a 10 minute time slot in which they will read a story to certified therapy dog, Emma. Emma is a nonjudgmental listener who will encourage children to read and help struggling readers find confidence. 
*Have a book picked out and ready to read for your time slot.

Join a naturalist to explore and interact with live reptiles and amphibians, such as snakes, turtles, and frogs! Discover how each is important and special to our local ecosystem! Experience how frogs leap, turtles eat, and snakes slither! Learn how to move snakes with a special tool!
Yarnies: Fiber Arts Club
Wednesday, March 18th, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
London Public Library Reading Room
Join us for an hour of crafting! If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or any other fiber arts please join us for an hour of socializing and crafting! Whether you're a beginner or an expert, bring along your current project and work alongside others who enjoy crafting as much as you! This is not a class, but we do encourage anyone that comes to share their skills with beginners if they feel so inclined. Yarnies will meet in the Magazine/Newspaper room upstairs in the library, across from the front desk.

Free After-School Snacks for Students
Every Monday - Friday, 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM
London Public Library
Students ages 18 and under can stop by the library every weekday from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. for a free after-school snack to enjoy while at the library! Brought to you in partnership with Children's Hunger Alliance.  
Seuss Celebration!

Toddler Time will engage your child with stories, songs, and finger plays. For ages 0 - 3 years. Each week focuses on a different theme using books, songs, and finger plays to reinforce the topic and boost early literacy. We incorporate lots of music and movement. There are weeks we will use musical instruments, scarves, balls, and a parachute.

Each week focuses on a different theme using books, songs, and finger plays to reinforce the topic and boost early literacy. We incorporate lots of music and movement. There are weeks we will use musical instruments, scarves, balls, and a parachute. Preschoolers have the opportunity to practice the alphabet with a special letter activity after the regular story time is finished.

London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Children ages 4 - 6 can practice the alphabet and motor skills to prepare for kindergarten! We will practice letter sounds and writing letters using a variety of multisensory literacy activities. Children can also master the important fine motor skills and gross motor skills needed to start school. We will work on numbers and counting, scissors, sorting, patterns, and more!
Break-In Bags
Monday, March 16th - Saturday, March 21st while supplies last

Figure out the code to break in the bag and get your loot! Use your critical thinking skills to find the number code to unlock your loot! Request Easy, Medium, or Hard levels.
Easy: Kindergarten - 2nd grade
Medium: 3rd - 5th grades
Hard: 6 - 12th grades
Prizes inside are for keeps. The bag, lock, and binder clip must be returned to the library after one week. While supplies last!
TEENS/ADULTS
Book Club
Tuesday, March 10th, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month when we meet to discuss the current book and pick up the next month’s title. We reserve copies that you can get at the library. This month we will be reading Deacon King Kong by James McBride. (Ages 18+)

This month, join us at 6:30 pm for finger foods and socialization! Book club discussion will start at 7:00 pm as normal. 
Celtic Dancing
Wednesday, March 11th, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Beginners and experienced dancers are all welcome at this Celtic dance program! Put on some comfortable shoes and get ready for an exciting evening of Scottish country dancing. Come with a partner or meet someone new on the dance floor — either way, you're sure to have a great time! This class will be led by Teen Advisory Board member, Norah!(Ages 13-17) Registration is required here.
D&D One Shot Campaign
Tuesday, March 24th, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Whether you’re totally new to Dungeons & Dragons or have a few campaigns under your belt, this one-shot session is all about having fun and going on a wild quest with a group of fellow adventurers. Our host for this campaign will be Wyatt Baldwin. (Ages 11-17)

Teen Advisory Board Meeting
Wednesday, March 25th, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Why should I join the TAB? You will have a hand in creating programs specifically for teens. You will be able to recommend materials for our collection. You will get community service hours for every TAB meeting that you attend. You will be able to put a leadership position on your college application. You will have the opportunity to make the library a better place for teens.

Are you struggling to work the new iPad you got for Christmas? Maybe you want to set up a social media account but don't know where to start? Do you want to become more knowledgeable on how to work your email? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the London Public Library can help! We are now offering FREE Technology Help Sessions during the week by appointment only! Call or come in to schedule your help session! Each help session will provide a one-on-one 45-minute time block where you can ask questions and be shown how to use/do various tasks. Help session attendees must bring their own technology to learn on.
