Book Nook (Behind the London Public Library)
Visit the Book Nook May-October on the first Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for great deals on books, DVDs, and more! Bring a bag from previous years to fill up with books and pay only $5! There are children's books, teen, fantasy, mysteries, thrillers, adult, crime, nonfiction, cookbooks, self-help, romance, and more. Help support your London Public Library by shopping locally for your books!

Yarnies: Fiber Arts Club
Wednesday, August 19th, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
London Public Library Reading Room
Join us for an hour of crafting! If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or any other fiber arts please join us for an hour of socializing and crafting! Whether you're a beginner or an expert, bring along your current project and work alongside others who enjoy crafting as much as you! This is not a class, but we do encourage anyone that comes to share their skills with beginners if they feel so inclined. Yarnies will meet in the Magazine/Newspaper room upstairs in the library, across from the front desk. (All ages)

Dinosaur Hunt All August long, while supplies last London Public Library Dinosaurs are loose in the library! Come to the library to help us wrangle the dinosaurs! Small dinosaur figures are hiding throughout the library. One dinosaur per child per day, while supplies last, during the month of August.

Glow Rave

Wear white or neon and dance under black lights! Grab a foam glow stick and hit the dance floor! Dance to high energy music!

BenAnna Band Concert
Saturday, August 8th, 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Sing and dance along to the live children's music! Be a part of the children’s music concert! Play musical instruments and sing and dance along with Ben and Anna.

Break-In Bags Monday, August 10th while supplies last London Public Library Children's Library Figure out the code to break in the bag and get your loot! Use your critical thinking skills to find the number code to unlock your loot! Request Easy, Medium, or Hard levels.
Easy: Kindergarten - 2nd grade
Medium: 3rd - 5th grades
Hard: 6 - 12th grades
Prizes inside are for keeps. The bag, lock, and binder clip must be returned to the library after one week. While supplies last!

Knit a Sweater with Patt Delph - Kickoff Meeting
Tuesday, August 4th, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
If you are an experienced knitter and would like to learn how to knit a sweater, we have the perfect program for you! Local knitter, Patt Delph, will be leading us through a class that will teach all attendees how to knit a sweater from start to finish!
The basics:
-This program will run from August through December with meetings twice per month. For a list of all meeting dates, visit our website and learn more.
-Participants must purchase their own supplies (contact the library if you need assistance).
-Intermediate knitting experience required (knit, purl). No beginners.
-Pattern will be provided - easy raglan, top down construction, seamless. Ages 18+. Register here.

Book Club

London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month when we meet to discuss the current book and pick up the next month’s title. We reserve copies that you can get at the library. This month we will be discussing The Witch Elm by Tana French. (Ages 18+)

Mahjong Night

Join us for an evening of Mahjong! Both beginners and experienced players are welcome. The rules of the game will be taught to all beginners. If you have a Mahjong set, please bring it so more people can play!

Tech Help Call to Schedule a Time! London Public Library Get one-on-one help for any of your devices!
Are you struggling to work the new iPad you got for Christmas? Maybe you want to set up a social media account but don't know where to start? Do you want to become more knowledgeable on how to work your email? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the London Public Library can help! We are now offering FREE Technology Help Sessions during the week by appointment only! Call or come in to schedule your help session! Each help session will provide a one-on-one 45-minute time block where you can ask questions and be shown how to use/do various tasks. Help session attendees must bring their own technology to learn on.
