Snow Soup
('Stone Soup' retold)
'Stone Soup' is an old French folktale in which hungry
strangers convince the people of a town to each share a
small amount of their food in order to make a meal that
everyone enjoys, and exists as a moral regarding
the value of sharing.
Our charming rendition is a musical set in the snowy arctic.
The characters are all indigenous animals, including
a clever arctic fox, an arctic lemming, a walrus, puffins,
a polar bear, and a magical narwhal.
This story inspires the qualities of generosity,
coming together as a community,
and the value of looking beyond stereotypes.

La Ratoncita Presumida / The Vain Little Mouse
Bilingual, Spanish/English
A bilingual (Spanish/English) story from Venezuela,
our tiny heroine thinks herself much too fine to accept
the proposal of a common mouse.
Instead, she sets her sights on 'worthier' matches, such as
the sun, the wind, and the mountain.
Yet, her search for the perfect suitor brings her
right back to the romantic little mouse
who first proposed.
Venezuelan Americans, Melissa and Carlos Bertran, bring
the character's voices to life in both English and Spanish.
Features Venezuelan music
and a truly bilingual experience!

‘East of the Sun and West of the Moon’ is the Norwegian version of a fairy tale told in many lands by many different names, such as
‘The White Bear’, ‘Cupid and Psyche’, and ‘Beauty and the Beast’. In our version, a king and his daughter rule a kingdom side by side until one day a devastating blight causes crops to fail and their people to go hungry. A mysterious sorceress offers to heal the land in exchange for the king’s hand in marriage. He agrees and marries her, only to discover her true identity to be the Queen of the Trolls, who spirits him away to her kingdom that lies east of the sun and west of the moon.
To save her father, the princess must embark on an arduous journey that will require both her courage and perseverance. In order to find and enter the land of the trolls, our heroine enlists the help of an aged sage and three dragons (the wind spirits).
