The Windsor Public
Library is expanding its
service in 2025. Beginning Sunday, January 5th, nine
branches will be open seven days a week. Hours of operation are also being standardized as noon to eight pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10 am to six pm on all other days.

Language learners can
build vocabulary, practice
skills, and maintain what they have learned with Transparent Language Online, available anytime, anywhere in 110+ languages.

Available as both an app through the App Store and Google Play or through a browser at library.transparent.com/windsor

Hoopla Checkouts Change

On May 1, 2025, we will be reducing the number of monthly checkouts available through our Hoopla service from 15 to 5. Digital magazines are now available in the CloudLibrary App!   Looking for digital magazines? They’ve joined our ebooks and eAudiobooks in the CloudLibrary app! CloudLibrary Newsstand offers over 7500 titles in 60 languages, including customer favourites like Time, the New Yorker, National Geographic, and HGTV. Expanded Service – Open Sundays Starts January 5

The Windsor Public Library is ready to expand service and take the guesswork out of operating hours in 2025. we’re open during the Sandwich St. Construction Project!

As part of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, sections of Sandwich Street between Chappel Street and Chewett Street will be closed at various times starting May 30, 2024 for an estimated two months.  While parking and routes might be a bit restricted, both the Local History Branch and the John Muir Branch will be opened their regular hours for the duration of the work!  Keep in mind that we can always be reached remotely if that’s more convenient. WPL APP IS BACK!

Good news!  WPL’s app provider was able to come to an agreement with the company that supports the app.  This means our WPL Mobile app is once again functional! If you still have the WPL Mobile app on your device, you just need to log back in with your library card number and PIN.  If you’ve uninstalled the app, you’ll just need to reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play. Update: Riverside Branch Open

A short-term closure for construction at the Riverside Branch is over and patrons are once again welcome inside.  The branch will be open from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM today. The Riverside Branch is having air conditioning work done in preparation for the summer months, so there may be some noise while work is completed. The final work is expected to take approximately two weeks and began March 24. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time....

Family Day Weekend Approaches
