Totally predictable in just about every aspect. Pure romanticism. Completely unrealistic with minimal redeeming features. Who even listens to night time radio anyway?

I loved this book! I don't know that I'd say quite 5 stars because I'm not sure how much I'll remember in a month, but I was obsessed with the journey. It was such a cute meet-cute and just loved the character development. This makes me want to read the Lovelight Farms serious by this author which is on my TBR. The thing that I loved so much about this book is that overall, the characters said what they were thinking. At the end, it slightly drifted from that, but overall, they told each other what the other was thinking, which seems to me, in every romance book, they don't and that's why sh*t goes bad and I find it so annoying. I'm always yelling "Just tell him/her/they!!!!" [contains spoilers/ending] Lucie finds her 12 year old daughter, Maggie, on the phone with some older guy. They had been on the phone for 10 minutes and Lucie is losing her mind. Until she finds out, she's on the radio and her and the radio host, Aiden Valentine, start chatting and Baltimore loves it. They jump onto the train of Lucie finding her perfect person. She's a hit. The radio station isn't doing great, so they have Lucie come on the air. And immediately Lucie and Aiden have the vibes. But they still try to find her a date. One ridicules her when she shows up. And then one doesn't show. Aiden comes running when he hears this and finds her walking away and they end up going out and drinking and dancing and having a great time. (Of course, there is more build up before this point than this review has.) And then they fall asleep on the couch together. She lives close to Maggie's dad, who is gay/bi, and dating another guy and they have a great relationship and a great co-parenting sitch. It continues to build and finally they hook up (I'm skipping a lot). But Aiden knows that Lucie wants a real relationship and he doesn't think he is capable of that. He tries to push everyone away. His mom had cancer multiple times when he was growing up and he saw the pain his dad went through because of that so he's afraid to let himself love and risk feeling that pain. They already slept together (there's some steamy scenes in here - but not over the top. Well done!) and they're on the radio. The guy from the car repair places calls (Lucie fixes cars for a living) and he asks her out. And Aiden was like, yes, she'll go out with you. And Lucie is pissed. Then they don't talk for a week and he realizes that he does love her and he's willing to risk it. (He opens up to his dad.) And then he does some elaborate plan and they get Lucie to go back to the station under false pretenses and gets her on the air and then Aiden calls in. But he's really just in the parking lot so she goes running out and they all live happily ever after. The story telling was just really well done in this and I laughed and I cried. Very enjoyable!
