Lego Lab After a brief summer break, Lego Lab is back. Children, ages 6-12, are invited to the Main Library at 4 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month for Lego Lab. The theme for the September 22 session is emojis. The program is free and Legos are provided by the library, but space is limited and. registration is required to participate.

Hot Pots Storytime Rodman Branch Library’s Hot Pots Storytime returns in September following a summer break. Children, ages 2-12, are invited to come to the RPL Branch for a mini storytime and then proceed to Hot Pots, accompanied by their guardian, to paint a ceramic soda can to their liking. Two sessions will be held, including Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. and another on Saturday, September 19 at 11 a.m. The cost is $18.99 per child and registration is required. The fee for the event is payable to Hot Pots upon registration at hotpotspottery.com.

Kids Crafting A monthly program for children ages 7 to 12, Kids Crafting is held on the second Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library. Each month, young crafters complete a project to take home. On September 10, kids will make button pumkins to welcome fall. All materials and supplies are provided free of charge during Kids Crafting, thanks to support from Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required.

Take and Make Starting Tuesday, September 1, kids can stop by the Branch to pick up a "Happy Campers" take and make craft (while supplies last). A new project is available each month, thanks to Friends of Rodman Library..

Discover New Books October 20
Children, ages 8 to 12, are invited to Pizza and Pages, a book reveal program at Rodman Public Library in 2026, on Tuesday, October 20 at 4 p.m. During the 45-minute program, a librarian will read excerpts from a batch of new books guaranteed to excite the imagination of children and take them on unforgettable adventures while they enjoy a slice of pizza and other activities. The program is free, thanks to support from Friends of Rodman Library. Space is limited, however, and registration is required at rodmanlibrary.com.

Tabletop Gaming Tabletop Gaming, a popular all-ages program continues at the Main Library at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1. Each month, a new game is featured so that patrons can learn a new game. Of course, games from the library’s collection are also available and visitors are welcome to bring their own games. The free monthly event is usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, but is being held a week later in August due to the used book sale conducted by the Friends of Rodman Library. The aim of the family program is to give area residents an opportunity to gather with others to play their favorite card and board games and make new friends. Light snacks will be offered and no registration is required to attend the monthly program. Although the program is open to players of all ages, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Rodman Chess Club The popular Rodman Chess Club will meet at Rodman Public Library on Wednesday, September 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. Although it is called a club, the program has no formal membership and is open to all interested in the ancient game of strategy. Players of all ages and levels are welcome to come and go throughout the evening. Several boards are set up in the auditorium and players mingle to find opponents. Chess Club is held on the third Wednesday of each month.

Bookmobile Schedule (2026-2027 Academic Year) The Rodman Public Library Bookmobile will provide library service to 13 area schools and preschools as well as Copeland Oaks in Sebring during the 2026-2027 academic year.
