Live Patriotic Guitar Music With Traveling Troubadour Jeff Munsick

Guitarist and singer Jeff Munsick has been performing his lively old time songs, standards and originals far and wide. This travelling troubadour has played in coffee houses on the West Coast, Bluegrass festivals in the Midwest, classrooms in the Mid-Atlantic region as well as concerts for the American Embassy Cultural Arts programs in Spain and Portugal. In recent years, Jeff has been playing at many venues in South Jersey including libraries, schools, festivals, arts centers, and museums.

We’ll be choosing a new theme each month for you to find a recipe and make a dish. It’s blueberry season in New Jersey! This month, check out a cookbook with a recipe that includes blueberries – pies, crumbles, jams, breads, or whatever sparks your interest! Read your recipe, make your dish, and bring it to the library on Thursday, July 18th at 6:30pm. We’ll share our dishes and discuss each of our recipes.

The Walking Read: Walking Book Group

Meet Librarian Jenn at the Washington Lake Park for a fun, fit new take on the book group discussion. We will be walking on a trail in the park, getting our steps in, while discussing A Walk in The Woods by Bill Bryson. We will be meeting in parking lot A, and our total walk distance will be approximately 1.35 miles. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to walk in, and a water bottle if needed. Please register in advance for this program, as Jenn will be using your contact information if we need to cancel the program for inclement weather.

Card Club: Learn Bridge With Craig

Join Craig in our meeting room for instruction, and live play of the card game Bridge. Bridge is enjoyed by tens of millions of people throughout the world-more so than any other card game. In social circles it is considered the card game. Whether you play casually among friends or seriously in clubs and tournaments, you will find it to be fascinating, challenging and enjoyable. We will start with a 20 minute Q&A session, then follow up with assisted play to the end of the program. Craig will be available to assist with questions such as, "What do I bid?", "What do I play?" or "I am so confused!" questions.

Join us for this special book discussion series geared toward middle school and favorite juvenile works. This book club meets each month to discuss popular authors and series. The Tween Book Club experience is social and a great way to motivate kids to read, get them talking about books they’ve read or listened to, and have them share ideas and perspectives. By sharing loved stories, tweens help motive others to explore works they might not have otherwise. Selections for each month are made by tweens who are willing to share their love of particular books and series.
