The library has some festive programs to get you ready for the holidays. 
 
Don't forget about our monthly sessions of Yoga, Jigsaw Puzzle Club, Mahjong Club, Drop In Tech,
Zine Studio, and Dungeons and Dragons.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY 
The Friends Will Hold A Holiday Luncheon in December.
 
In lieu of the regularly scheduled meeting, the Friends of the Heggan Library will hold a luncheon at 12pm on December 9th at the Terra Nova Restaurant. The lunch celebrates not only the upcoming holidays but a successful year helping to support our local library.  To reserve a place, contact Janet Ruggiero.
Meals will be at individual expense.

Join Valerie Gouse and Judy Bonato, certified cardio drumming instructors, for a fun workout! Cardio drumming uses drumsticks, yoga balls, high-energy music, and customized choreographed routines to increase physical and mental fitness. No experience or equipment is needed, and all fitness levels are welcome. **Please wear comfortable clothing that you will be able to move freely in.** This class is limited to . Heggan adult cardholders due to its size and popularity. The class will be held in our meeting room. Advance registration is required.

The Rambling Readers: A Walking Book Group

Meet Librarian Jenn at Washington Lake Park for a leisurely stroll through the park, while we discuss our latest read. There is no specific book assigned to read. Discuss your favorite or least favorite book. Make suggestions to others on books they may enjoy. Learn from others about new books to add to your reading list. This group is for anyone who enjoys reading, regardless of who or what you like to read. All this while getting your steps in for the day. We will cover approximately 1-1.5 miles. Please wear comfortable clothes/footwear. We will meet in Lot A. This program is open to all adults. Advance registration is required. Please provide a contact number in case we have to cancel the program due to inclement weather.

Adult Crafting for the Holidays: Make a Gingerbread Ornament

Linda is back for more fun crafting with wool! Needle felt a unique Gingerbread Ornament for the holidays using cookie cutters and wool. All materials provided. Just bring your creativity. This program is limited to Heggan cardholders.

TEEN PROGRAMS
Teen Art Club
Monday, December 1, 4:00pm
 
Explore your interest in art with friends. Participants will have time, space, and materials to create. This monthly club will be led by a Teen Advisory Board member and is meant to allow teens to explore all things ART! Come check it out and have fun while exploring favorite artistic mediums and hanging out with like-minded friends. Meetings include discussions, art challenges, time for participants to work on individual projects, collaborations with fellow members, or simply hanging out while incubating one’s creative genius. Come join us to create and have a supportive sounding board for your creativity.
Teen Writing Club

Do you like to write? Do you like playing with words or pictures to tell a story? Are poetry and lyrics more your style? Do you want to write a book someday? Why not start today? Interested in jewelry making, origami, diamond art, unique accessories, ornaments, paper beadmaking, bookbinding, or card making? This group might be for you. Using crafting supplies, we’ll make paper beads, duct tape fabric, or clay shapes to turn into something amazing. Using found items, we’ll use our creativity to make something unique.

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS
The library will be closed on December 24th & 25th
in observance of the Christmas holiday. 
 
We will close at 1pm on December 31, 2025 and we will be closed on January 1, 2026 to celebrate the new year.
