Meet Librarian Jenn at Washington Lake Park for a leisurely stroll through the park, while we discuss our latest read. There is no specific book assigned to read. Discuss your favorite or least favorite book. Make suggestions to others on books they may enjoy. Learn from others about new books to add to your reading list. This group is for anyone who enjoys reading, regardless of who or what you like to read. All this while getting your steps in for the day. We will cover approximately 1-1.5 miles. Please wear comfortable clothes/footwear. We will meet in Lot A. This program is open to all adults. Advance registration is required. Please provide a contact number in case we have to cancel the program due to inclement weather.

Meet World War II Veteran Andrew "Tim" Kiniry

Andrew “Tim” Kiniry, who fought in World War II, will be at the library to talk about his experiences during the war. Tim, who is 103, was born in Philadelphia on November 15,1921. He was drafted into the United States Army on August 22,1942. He served with the 45th Evacuation Hospital. As a medic, he was one of the first to arrive at Buchenwald, one of the largest concentration camps in Germany.

Consumer Fraud Prevention from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs

These scams target potential victims in New Jersey through calls, emails, and other methods. To protect yourself from falling victim to these scams, we invite you to attend this session, where a representative from the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs will teach you how to avoid them.

Meetings include discussions, art challenges, time for participants to work on individual projects, collaborations with fellow members, or simply hanging out while incubating one’s creative genius. Using crafting supplies, we’ll make paper beads, duct tape fabric, or clay shapes to turn into something amazing. Using found items, we’ll use our creativity to make something unique.
