Unearth a Story at the Library!
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme, Unearth a Story, has us very excited to DIG into dinosaurs like never before! Adult and Youth Services have teamed up for another summer of all-ages programming and reading fun. From June 8 through July 18, track your reading and activities on the Beanstack app to earn tickets to enter for fantastic prizes!
 
Our June calendar is full of exciting opportunities for summer fun! From Storytime at Wildwood Park, Tuesdays at the Library programs, and our Wednesday Matinee afternoon movies, to program partnerships with Wood County Master Gardeners, Local Artisans of Wisconsin, Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, Main Street Conservatory of Dance, Moonstone & Mystics crystal shop, and the Wildwood Zoo, the first month of summer is going to be full of big fun! We really think you're going to dig it!

June is Dairy Month in Wisconsin, and we’re celebrating with tiny canvases and big imagination. Create your own mini farm field scene inspired by our sample — rolling green hills, a bright blue sky, a grazing cow… and maybe even a little flying saucer hovering over the pasture. You choose what you want to paint. Feel free to make it whimsical or add something totally unexpected.

The Chess Mates competitive chess club meets on the last Saturday of each month from 1-5 PM. They offer three regulation tournament boards for the first six players to arrive as well as a chess clock for “blitz” and a regular clock. All ages welcome. There will be no instruction for beginners. This club is looking for experienced players looking for a fun game play challenge.
