PSA Now Available for “Adventure Begins at Your Library”
Summer is the time for adventure! And just in time for summer programming kick-offs we are happy to announce the official Collaborative Summer Library Programming PSA is now available! Share the PSA with local media, across your social media channels, with local partners, and display them in your library. The main PSA, available in both English and Spanish, is a 30 second video with a tagline that you can load and launch as-is. Additionally, there is a “clean slate” version available for brief customization at the end, should you want to add your library’s logo and event information. CLSP is also offering short segments pulled from the original for use on social media. New this year is an animated “poster” of one of our graphics, which can be displayed on a computer screen or display monitor to promote summer reading within your library.
The PSA files are available for download as part of the CSLP manual using the Virginia access code.

| Kids to Parks Day (May 18)
Kids to Parks Day is more than just a celebration—it's a nationwide movement encouraging outdoor exploration, embraced by parks, cities, and towns across the country. Together, we're united by a common goal: to inspire communities far and wide to step outside and connect with nature on May 18th!
2024 marks the 14th anniversary of Kids to Parks Day, an annual day of outdoor exploration at local, state, and national parks and public lands across the country. Organized by National Park Trust, the mission of Kids to Parks Day is to foster future outdoor enthusiasts and help with developing the next generation of park stewards by engaging kids in memorable outdoor experiences. While discovering and exploring our parks, kids learn about park stewardship, outdoor recreation, STEM, and the history of our country and its amazing national treasures – because kids need parks and parks need kids!
Always hosted on the third Saturday of May, Kids to Parks Day encourages kids and families to get outside and create their own adventure at thousands of local park events and programs. National Park Trust works with cities and towns, teachers, families, park and public lands officials, and numerous sponsors and partners to make these events possible. Together we can protect and preserve our nation’s parks and public lands, so please join us! |
