A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

June kicks off the summer, and on June 13th we will have our Summer Reading Kickoff Party at the Parlin Library from 11-1, with special guests Captain America and Betsy Ross. This year's theme is Read, White, and Blue! Come by for fun and refreshments, and register for the challenge! While you're here, if you're participating in our year-long challenge, make sure to come by and get your stamp for signing up for summer reading.

If you're going to the World Cup watch party at River Green Park, stop by our table!  If you're not going to the city event, you can catch some games at the Parlin Library as time permits during the tournament. (We will only be showing games that take place during library hours.)

Everett Cultural Council is sponsoring two performances for children, one at the Parlin and the other at the Shute. On June 1st, Tiny Tutti will be at the Shute and on June 2nd, Elijah T. Grasshopper will be at the Parlin. Those looking for more mature fare can come listen and learn about the roots of American music at the Parlin on June 24th.

We will be closed on June 19th and 20th in observance of Juneteenth.
