A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

September is upon us, and when I think of September, a few things come to mind.  I think of Labor Day, and how grateful I am not only to be employed, but to be doing a job with a mission aligned with my values.  If you or anybody you know is unemployed, thinking about a job change, or could use some updating of their skill set, tell them about our subscriptions to O'Reilly Technical Books online, which is for computer technologies, and tell them about Udemy, which covers a vast domain of knowledge and skills.  We will be getting a link to a resume writing platform soon, so keep your eyes open.

I also think of Labor Day (on which we will be closed) and the Jerry Lewis Telethon of my youth. As I write this the Paris Olympics have just ended and Jerry Lewis was popular in France. Check out At War With the Army or other titles with other libraries.

Finally, I wanted to let you know that this monthly newsletter will be going on a short hiatus due to our Information Services Librarian's departure. We're hoping the position will be filled soon, and the newsletter will be back in your inboxes when it is!

Warmly,

Kevin Sheehan
