A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR |
Hello everybody,
As we move to the future, it is good to look to the past as well. Xenophon was a Greek historian and mercenary who was a contemporary of Socrates. He also wrote a book on horsemanship. Why do I bring him up? Because it's 2026 and there are 26 letters in the alphabet, so if you want to read 26 books this year and pick an author per letter, you might need some help with the X's.
I want to thank all the library staff, and you, the patrons, for a successful 2025. I am looking forward to the creativity and suggestions from patrons and staff to build an engaging collection and inviting programs in the new year! Please note that we are making our year long reading challenge more of an Everett Public Libraries challenge, so readers who have less time or ability to read can complete some of the challenges and win some more prizes.
