A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

This July, don't just celebrate our nation's Independence from Britain! Cultivate your own independence from screens, from the job you hate, from the instructions on the package of whatever you're going to eat for dinner!

Read a print book! Learn some skills to get another job, whether that is through a course in graphic design on Udemy or a foreign language course on Rosetta Stone or Mango Languages. Check out a few cookbooks and graduate from re-heating to cooking!

We have lots of activities and events to offer this July, including various game activities at both the Parlin and Shute Libraries, music, book nooks and other crafts, classic films, and a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist talking about one of the most famous art heists in history! Be sure to check our calendar for all the details.

Of course, we will be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Celebrate safely!
