November feels like a short month. It's already a 30 day month, and this year it has 5 Sundays. Also, due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will be closing at 5pm on Wednesday the 26th, all day on Thursday the 27th, and all day on Friday the 28th.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I want to extend my gratitude, of course, to our veterans and their families, for their service and sacrifice for our nation.
I also thank all the hard working staff and loyal patrons and friends who help keep the libraries welcoming and a helpful resource for the community.
On Tuesday the 18th, come and share your culture at the aptly named Share Your Culture Night at the Parlin Library.
One more thing- If the Parlin Library is your polling place, be sure to come by on Tuesday the 4th to vote!

This summer, the Everett Public Libraries issued a challenge to all, to explore our creativity and curiosity through writing, drawing, crafting and - of course - READING!
The Friends of the Everett Public Libraries have graciously given four prizes to be raffled among the 46 readers who completed the challenge: Two $50 Gift Cards, one $100 Gift Card, and for the Grand Prize, a Gen 12 Kindle Paperwhite.
The winners have all been drawn and notified. Congratulations to Matthew, Arianna, Caitlin, and Steve!
Thank you to everyone in our Everett Public Libraries family, patrons, staff, and Friends alike who made the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge colorful, memorable, and so much fun! We are happy to be part of such a lively and caring community, and aim to always offer a safe and inviting place to explore the world of information and ideas. We look forward to Summer 2026! |
