A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

"Generation" seems to be a good word for May.  Did you know that we have a seed library? Stop by a libraryand pick up some seeds to plant!  Bring your kids to "Riot in the Garden".  Learn from Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardensabout indoor planting! Take a "Generative Writing" workshop and discover your literary talents!

I hope the weather inspires you to get out and get to the libraries for some programs at both locations.Sherlock Holmes Day would be a great opportunity to take the youngest generations to the Shute Library.  Children's floor for a scavenger hunt. Friday and Saturday, May 22nd and 23rd would not be good days, because both libraries will be closedin observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Spring is officially here and the seed libraries have returned to both the Parlin and Shute Memorial Libraries. Check out up to five packets of seeds and grow your own vegetables and flowers! Don't have the tools? You can now check those out from the library, too! The library will be around only as long as supplies last, so stop by soon and get to planting!
