A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR

Welcome to the silver anniversary of the 21st Century! January is named after the Roman god Janus, who is often depicted as having two faces, which is appropriate for looking back and looking forward.

Looking back, it's hard to believe the collective sigh of relief, when Y2K doomsday scenarios came to nought, occurred 25 years ago.

Looking forward, we have many new things coming to the library, including:

  • A 25 in '25 reading challenge!

  • A new Everett Public Libraries website!

  • More online offerings!

  • More library staff to help you enjoy our collections, spaces, and services!

We hope to see more of you this year. Spread the word and bring friends!

Happy New Year!

Down for Maintenance

The NOBLE Library Management System will be updating on Sunday, January 5th. It is possible this will interfere with some of our online services such as the catalog, museum pass registration, and Libby. Everything should be back to normal by Monday, January 6th, but if you are still encountering issues, please give us a call at (617) 394 - 2300.

FROM THE FRIENDS

It was wonderful seeing so many happy faces as we handed out gifts to the children visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Library during the Tree Lighting Event.  We're also so glad to have supported the Polar Express Bedtime Storytime, it was a really fun event!

The book ornaments for those that have finished the 24-in-'24 challenge have also been so wonderful to see, and we are glad that we were able to provide supplies for this labor of love undertaken by the Library Staff.

We're wishing all the Library Patrons and Staff a very happy holiday season, with health and happiness in the new year!
