Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Slime
 
Children are invited to the Leach Library on Wednesday, March 26 at 4:30 p.m. to make slime inspired by the children’s classic book, “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.

Magician Robert Clarke
 
Magician Robert Clarke will be visiting the Leach Library on Monday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. to amaze and entertain children of all ages.

 Story Time Sessions 
Little Sprouts Baby Lapsit
On Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. through April 15, Leach Library will offer a story time program for babies 0-18 months old. This introduction to story time is a great opportunity for your littlest sprouts to learn to interact with you and others in a new environment, as well as to begin to follow along with songs, dances, and finger movements.

Wiggle Worms
On Tuesday or Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. through April 16, toddlers and their caregivers are invited to the Leach Library for story time with songs, rhymes, books, and more. This program is designed for ages 2-3, but older children are welcome to join in.

Puzzle & Board Game Exchange
The Leach Library Puzzle Exchange is back! From Monday, March 24 through Saturday, March 29, drop off your jigsaw puzzle and board game donations at the main circulation desk during library operating hours. The library will accept gently-used jigsaw puzzles and board games for any age. In exchange, the library staff will provide a voucher indicating how many puzzles and games you contributed.
 
On Monday, March 31, return to the library with your voucher between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to select your new puzzles and games! For further information, call the library at (603) 432-1132.

Tinker Time
Join Leach Library staff on Saturday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. for Tinker Time. A variety of toys and games from the Library of Things will be provided for children to try.

Cookie Decorating 
Children are invited to the Leach Library on Monday, April 7 at 4:30 p.m. to decorate Bunny Cookies. Cookies, frosting, and candy will be provided, and library staff will be on hand to offer assistance.

Duplo Budding Builders
Duplo Budding Builders will be meeting at Leach Library on Thursday, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. Participants will create using larger Duplo blocks. This program is designed for younger Lego enthusiasts ages 0-5.

Lego Building Buddies
Join the Leach Library staff on Thursday, April 17 at 4:30 p.m. for a Lego program designed for ages 6 and up. Each month, there will be a fun theme and time to create using the library’s Legos.

Growing Up Wild! 
Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to the Leach Library on Monday, March 24 or April 21 at 4:00 p.m. for a new monthly nature exploration program. This program is designed for ages 3 -7, but older children are welcomed to join in.

Let's Make Something Together
Children ages 6 and older are invited to the Leach Library on Wednesday, April 23 at 4:30 p.m. for our new monthly program, Let’s Make Something Together. Each month, we’ll make something fun that can be taken home at the end. This month, join us in making a shredded paper bird nest!

Spring into Creativity! 
 
This Spring Break, stop by the Leach Library to learn something new with DIY activities and crafts! From wool felting to D&D, learn to explore your creative side!

Dungeons & Dragons Dragoneer Club
Calling all Teen and Tween adventurers! Are you ready to step into a world of magic, monsters, and epic quests? Then join the Dragoneers Club for a standalone quest on Tuesday, April 8 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room.
 
Adventurers are encouraged to bring their own ready-made character sheets to jump straight into the action! If you're new to the game or don’t have a character ready, have no fear, pre-made characters will be on hand for you to start your journey.

Baker Street Mini Escape Room 
 
Unlock the mystery at the Leach Library! The library will hold a mini escape room program once a month in Study Room A for teens. Find inspiration from the original consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes, and unlock the mystery. Each month will feature different themes and puzzles to solve. Join us for the next mystery on Friday, April 18 from 3:00-4:00 p.m.

Coding Club & Maker Lab
 
Unleash your imagination during the Leach Library’s Coding Club and Maker Lab! Stop by Study Room B after school on Tuesday, March 25 or April 22 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. to explore, craft, and create. During this two-hour block, participants will be able to work independently or in small groups on projects and collaborations.
 
Young inventors will be able to explore coding with simple coding programs and test out their programs with Hummingbird Bit or Makey Makey devices. Artists will have a variety of mediums available to use from paint to markers. Aspiring creators will have an assortment of materials to help bring their dreams into reality from a collection of building sets to a stop motion camera or music keyboard.

Wool Felted Gnome Craft for Teens
 
Ready to get crafty? Join us in the Leach Library Meeting Room on Tuesday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. for an awesome DIY experience where you’ll create your very own felted gnome! Teens are invited to learn the cool art of wool felting with the amazing Ms. Rachelle. All materials are provided, just bring your creativity!

Teen Intro to Hand Sewing
On Wednesday, April 30 at 3:00 p.m., learn how to sew and make your own custom coaster. From simple sewing stitches to creative designs, this hands-on session will teach you everything you need to know to get started with sewing!

More Library News
Spring is in the air, and it's the perfect time to grow, share, and connect with nature! The Leach Library is excited to announce the opening of our brand-new Seed Library, designed to inspire gardeners of all levels and help grow a love for plants in our community.
 
The Seed Library offers free access to a wide variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Visitors to the library can select up to five seed packets to start their gardening journey or to try something new this season. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a beginner, there’s something for everyone!
 
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Master Gardeners of New Hampshire and the Friends of Leach Library for their generous support in making this exciting program a reality.
