Game Night at Awesome CCG Patrons of all ages are invited to stop by Awesome CCG for a special game night for Leach Library cardholders on Thursday, July 18 starting at 6:00 p.m. Whether you are new to playing games or a seasoned pro, join the fun! Participants will be able to play an assortment of games from the store library. Pizza will be served while supplies last.

Concert on the Common for Kids The Leach Library is teaming up with the Londonderry Arts Council for a special Concert on the Common for Kids on Saturday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. on the Londonderry Town Common. The Mr. Aaron Band will be offering a toe-tapping good time to the families of Londonderry through their high-energy performance. Bring a picnic or enjoy treats from our vendors! The concert will be moved to the Londonderry High School Cafeteria in the event of rain. No registration is required.

Oscar's Summer Adventures Calling all authors and artists! From June 1 through August 31, the library will be collecting original written works and pictures featuring Oscar! Short stories, poems, comics, or pictures are welcome. Selected submissions will be compiled into a single volume that will be available for check out at the library! All works must be submitted with the application form. Pick up the application form at the library or print it from the library's website. Diamond Painting Craft Come diamond paint your own coaster at the Leach Library on Saturday, July 13 at 9:00 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. This event is intended for adults ages 18 and up. Registration opens on Saturday, July 6 and is limited to 25 participants per session.

Beginner Birding  Discover what makes a bird a bird in this beginner birding class on Wednesday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Leach Library. Learn the basics of bird identification, the wide diversity of birds you might see in New Hampshire, and some tools of the trade to help you name the birds around you. This event will be presented by the New Hampshire Audubon. Registration is required and opens on Wednesday, July 24.

Coffee & Coloring  Adults are invited to chill out, sip coffee, and color at the Leach Library on Friday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m. Every participant will be given their own adult coloring book and set of colored pencils. Registration opens on Friday, July 26 and is limited to 24 participants.

Rock Painting Craft Come to the Leach Library on Wednesday, August 7 at 2:00 p.m. for an afternoon of rock painting! This event is intended for teens and adults ages 13 and up. Registration opens on Wednesday, July 31 and is limited to 30 participants.

Film Discussion: Jaws It’s like a book discussion but with a movie! Watch the film Jaws (1975, rated PG) prior to the program and then come to the library on Monday, July 29 at 6:30pm to discuss it. Light refreshments will be served. Registration opened on Monday, June 24 and is limited to 15 participants. Copies of the DVD will be available to check out at the library’s main desk. The film will also be screened at the library during Family Fun Night on Friday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Cookbook Potluck: Summer Fun  Love to cook and bake? Then this is the perfect program for you! Join us on Monday, August 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the Leach Library for a summer-themed potluck. Prepare and share a recipe from either The Picnic by Marnie Hanel, The Complete Summer Cookbook by America’s Test Kitchen, or The Summer Table by Lisa Lemke. Historical Fiction Book Discussions  Join Leach Library staff in August to discuss Kate Quinn’s historical novel The Alice Network at the library or the Londonderry Senior Center. The book is about two women —a female spy recruited to the real-life Alice Network in France during World War I and an unconventional American socialite searching for her cousin in 1947—who are brought together in a mesmerizing story of courage and redemption. On Thursday, August 29 at 11:30 a.m., library staff will facilitate a discussion at the Londonderry Senior Center located at 535 Mammoth Road in Londonderry. An evening discussion will be offered at Leach Library on Wednesday, August 28 at 6:30 p.m. Registration opens on Monday, July 24 and is limited to 15 participants per session. Dungeons & Dragons: Dragoneers Club Calling all adventurers! Join the quest on Monday, July 8, July 22, or August 5 in Leach Library Study Room B from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. This campaign is open to all skill levels and is intended for ages 8-18. Registration is required and begins one week before each session.

Apple Byte TournamentTeens and tweens are invited to an intro to e-sports video game tournament in the Leach Library Meeting Room on Tuesday, July 9 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. During this program, students ages 9-18 are invited to play Rocket League in a series of rounds on the Nintendo Switch platform. Tournament style and lineup will be announced at the start of the tournament. Door prizes and awards will be handed out to players while supplies last. Registration is required and begins Tuesday, July 2.

July Read Local for Teens Join members of the library staff at Awesome CCG to discuss the novel The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan on Friday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. Registration is limited to 10 participants and begins on Friday, July 5. Copies of the book may be checked out at the Main Circulation Desk at the time of registration. All participants will be able to use any of the games in the onsite library after the book discussion. During this birthday celebration, assorted games and activities will be available. Participants can enjoy a cupcake and take home their own owl stuffed toy while supplies last.
