Tomorrow: Jack O' Lantern Jamboree!
 
The Leach Library will be hosting its annual Halloween celebration on Wednesday, October 29 at 4:00 p.m. We’ll begin with a costume parade around the library and then head downstairs for a story and song. Halloween bags will be handed out at the end of the program.

Friends' Raffle Fundraiser
 
The Friends of the Leach Library are holding an “Experience New England” raffle to raise funds for future programming. Tickets are 5 for $20 and may be purchased at the library until Saturday, November 1. Winners will be drawn on November 3 and notified by telephone or email. Prizes include Whale Watches, flower arrangement, gift cards, and many, many more. For more information, contact

 Halloween Ghost Craft 
Children are invited to the Leach Library on Monday, October 27 at 4:00 p.m. for a fun Halloween craft. Using paper cups, markers, and flameless tea lights, children will create a Halloween ghost with a light-up nose!

 Fall Story Time Sessions 
Little Sprouts Baby Lapsit
 
On Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. beginning on November 4 and continuing through December 9, Leach Library will offer a story time program for babies 0-18 months old. This introduction to story time is a great opportunity for your littlest sprouts to learn to interact with you and others in a new environment, as well as to begin to follow along with songs, dances, and finger movements. Please note that the library will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Registration is required and begins one week before each session. Wiggle Worms
 
On Tuesday or Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. beginning on November 4 and continuing through December 10, toddlers and their caregivers are invited to the Leach Library for story time with songs, rhymes, books, and more. This program is designed for ages 2-3, but older children are welcome to join in. Please note that the library will be closed on Tuesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

Puzzle and Board Game Exchange
 
Start saving your puzzles! The Leach Library Puzzle Exchange is coming back in November. From Monday, November 3 through Saturday, November 8, drop off your jigsaw puzzle and board game donations at the main circulation desk during library operating hours. The library will accept gently used jigsaw puzzles and board games for any age. In exchange, the library staff will provide a voucher indicating how many puzzles and games you contributed.
 
On Monday, November 10th, return to the library with your voucher between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to select your new puzzles and games! For further information, call the library at (603) 432-1132.

Craft: Beaded Corn 
 
Children are invited to Leach Library on Monday, November 3 at 4:00 p.m. for a special craft. Using pipe cleaners and pony beads, create an autumn ear of corn.

Book Bingo
Join us at Leach Library on Wednesday, November 5 at 4:00 p.m. for Children’s Book Bingo! Each participant will have a chance to win books of their choosing, and the whole family is welcome to join the fun and play along.

Tinker Time
 
Join Leach Library staff on Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. for Tinker Time. A variety of toys and games from the Library of Things will be provided for children to try.

STEM Challenge for Kids
 
The Leach Library is offering a new monthly children’s program, Children’s STEM Challenges. This program will encourage children in grade 2-5 to use logic and imagination, along with a few simple items and a challenge, to perform a task. Our next session “Take It Slow” will take place Wednesday, November 12 at 4:00 p.m.

Growing Up Wild
Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to the Leach Library on Monday, November 17 at 4:00 p.m. for a monthly nature exploration program. This program is designed for ages 3 -7, but older children are welcomed to join in. Learn about farms this month!

Duplo Budding Builders
 
Duplo Budding Builders will be meeting at Leach Library on Thursday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. Participants will create using larger Duplo blocks. This program is designed for younger Lego enthusiasts ages 0-5. Registration is recommended and begins on Thursday, November 13. Building Buddies
 
Join the Leach Library staff on Thursday, November 20 at 4:00 p.m. for a Lego program designed for ages 6 and up. Each month, there will be a fun theme and time to create using the library’s Legos. Sensory Saturday
 
Children and their caregivers are invited to a new sensory play time intended for children 5 and under at the Leach Library. A variety of sensory play activities will be available to promote learning and curiosity. Our next session will take place on Saturday, November 22.
