Houseplant Swap Wednesday, October 9 / 6:00 P.M. Albright Memorial Library Plant lovers are welcome to join the Library for this free event where they can find a new houseplant to care for, trade extra plants or cuttings, and chat and share tips with others. Participants are welcome to bring up to three plants or rooted cutting to the swap in exchange for a ticket to the event. Clarks Summit United Methodist Church Stop by the Friends of the Abington Community Library Fall Book Sale at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church. There will be a preview Sale for Friends members on Friday, October 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Join or renew your Friends membership at the sale for $10 per individual or $15 per family. Thousands of adult, teen, and children's books, DVDs, and CDs will be available to purchase. Credit cards are accepted.

Garden Club Presents: Introduction to Canning Monday, September 30 / 1:30 P.M. Carbondale Public Library Mary Ann Curtis, a food preserver volunteer from the Penn State Extension, will discuss the procedures for water bath canning and freezing as methods for preserving produce. It’s a pay-as-you-wish event, allowing you to contribute what feels right while helping further the mission of North Pocono Public Library. We will accept book, CD, and DVD donations for the sale until Monday, September 30.
