Library Branch to Reopen Tuesday, January 21 Nancy Kay Holmes Branch Library Renovations at the Library have been completed, and the Nancy Kay Holmes Branch will reopen after a six-month closure on Tuesday, January 21. The Library’s hours upon reopening will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Clarks Summit Festival of Ice Friday, January 24 through Sunday, January 26 State Street, Clarks Summit Celebrate the winter season in Lackawanna County with dazzling ice sculptures, live entertainment, delectable treats, and family-friendly activities. This year’s festival theme, “Under the Sea,” will bring a weekend of icy ocean wonders to the picturesque streets of Clarks Summit. The festival does not have specific hours, but will have interactive exhibits, live entertainment, and fun for all ages beginning midday Friday. Be sure to follow the festival online for a live carving schedule, a sculpture map, and other highlights.

Home Delivery Service Lackawanna County Library System Did you know that you can have library materials delivered directly to your home? With the frigid temperatures and wet winter weather here for a few more weeks, our Home Delivery Service can help you enjoy books, CDs, DVDs, and more without leaving home. To use this service, simply choose “Home Delivery” as your pickup location while placing holds on our online catalog. A librarian will process your requests, and your items will be delivered to your address for free. Library materials must be returned in person to any Lackawanna County Library System location upon their due date.
