2nd Thursday of each month 1:00 – 2:15 pm or 6:00 – 7:15 pm Age: Children entering kindergarten in fall 2026. Designed to help children make a smooth transition from their preschool experience into the kindergarten classroom. Children will participate in the Pledge of Allegiance, calendar activities, literacy activities, follow-the-directions songs, rotate between literacy and math centers, practice walking in a line, and story time. Meets the first Thursday of each month September through May from 6:00-7:00 pm. Engineer a project by creating, planning, and building with LEGOs. Develop critical thinking, teamwork, motor, and communication skills. October 20 Registration required at least 3 days prior. Gr 1 – 2 Rain Gauges and Thunderstorms Children will learn the importance of rain in nature and life. They will build a simple rain gauge to observe and measure rainfall. Gr 3 – 5 Survive the Quake! Put your building skills to the ultimate test…the earthquake test! Our earthquake simulator creates quakes in 5 levels of intensity so you can test different structures to see if they topple or stand strong!

Our Tales for TAILS (Therapy Animals Increase Literacy Skills) Program is an effective and fun way to improve children's reading and communication skills though the assistance of registered pet therapy teams as literacy mentors. The child reads to the pet as the pet quietyl sits or lies close by. The child is encouraged to pet, engae, and connect with the pet. Please bring several books at your child's reading level that they can read to the dogs. October 23 Registration required at least 24 hours prior. Walk-ins will be welcome if space permits. One craft will follow simple instructions or an example. The second craft, our “craft challenge,” is based on a monthly theme and will allow your child to express their creativity and individuality.
