Story Time | Mondays |
10:00 - 10:30 am | In July and August storytime will be on Mondays!
Join Ms. Alex & Ms. Joan to sing songs and listen to stories in the library! As the weather is warming up we'll be moving Story Time outside to the Lynnfield Common. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chair to sit on. If it is too cold or rainy, story time will be held in the Lynnfield Library Children's Room.
Recommended for children ages 5 and under. Lynnfield Common if weather allows or Children's Room

|  | Ukulele Workshop
with David Maloof | Wednesday, August 16 |
6:00 - 7:30 PM | Learn and have fun at a Ukulele Workshop at the Lynnfield Meeting House.
Dave Maloof of MusicPlusComedy.com will explain and show ukulele types, history, construction, sizes and tunings – but most of the time will be for learning various strumming techniques, creating chords, singing & playing along to songs, and trying out different ukuleles. You can use one (or more) of the 25 ukuleles that Dave brings, and/or bring your own uke if you already have one. Songs to learn to learn to play will include pop, rock ’n’ roll, Beatles, country, children’s, and more.
Dave Maloof is a teacher, musician, comedian & writer who presents and performs ukulele programs, educational concerts, and music & comedy shows. He has performed – singing, and playing ukulele and keyboard – throughout New England. Register here.

This one hour workshop will consist of education about various mindfulness practices designed to help cope with stress. You will learn and practice interventions to become more mindful of the world around you and to cope with emotions. You will engage in meditation and gain resources to practice at home. Need help with your apps, devices, or social media? Your librarians can help! Come by the library on the last Tuesday of the month from 2:30-3:30 PM and we’ll help you out!
Some things we can help you with: - Computer and/or smartphone basics
- eBook and eAudiobook help
- Using the library catalog
- Library databases
- Social media basics
Some things we will not be able to help you with: - Broken phones, computers, or devices
- Computer viruses
- Items that cannot be physically brought to the library
Please bring your device, any of its accessories, and its charging cable with you. Registration recommended but not required.

The Last Tuesday Book Club is the Lynnfield Library's fiction book group! This month's selection is Daughters of Nantucket by Julie Gerstenblatt. Copies are available for pickup at the Library's Circulation desk.

 | Starting in September Story Time will be back on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Join us on Wednesdays, starting September 6th, to sing songs and listen to stories! This story time will be held outside on the Lynnfield Town Common if the weather is nice. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chair to sit on. If it is too cold or rainy, story time will be held inside the library. |
