June is Pride Month and it’s a great time to shine a spotlight on LGBTQ+ lives. SpeakOUT Boston has been telling the stories of LGBTQ+ lives for over 50 years. Since 1972, SpeakOUT volunteers have shared stories in an engaging way and fostered dialogues within schools, colleges, businesses, faith communities, nonprofit organizations, and more.
Join us on Wednesday, June 7, 6:30pm for a panel of speakers from SpeakOUT to celebrate Pride Month and learn more about current issues for the community. The speakers will share their personal stories and offer an opportunity for the audience to ask their own questions in an interactive Q&A. It will be a great opportunity for parents of LGBTQ+ youth, as well as for those who wish to be better allies to their neighbors.

Read to a Dog
Wednesday, June 21st
3:30-4:30 PM
Mitzi, a trained therapy dog, will be visiting the Lynnfield Library hoping to hear some great stories! Children may sign up for a 10-minute session and choose a book or selection from a book to read to her. Mitzi is a patient listener, so reading to her is good practice for readers who are still struggling a bit as well as pros. Registration is required.
This program is geared towards children in grades K-4. Space is limited to 6 children. When registering, please select an available time. Time to read to Mitzi is limited, so please arrive early if you need time to pick out a book. We may not be able to accept children who are late to their appointment time. If registration is full, please email lfdyouth@noblenet.org to join the waitlist.
