The library accepts donations for St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter and Lions Club International

Consider donating non-perishable food items to support St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter or usable eyeglasses to help Lions Club International.

Exeter Rotary Club is also accepting donations for old hearing aids. Donations will be used to help others at the Rotary Hearing Clinic in the Dominican Republic.

Donate your soda tabs to help the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth.

Items can be placed in the boxes on the table next to the Adult Information Desk.

Digital Radon Detector

A Digital Radon Detector is now available to be checked out at the library. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas, and the only way to know your home's radon level is to test.

Reading Classics of 20th Cent. Literature Book Group; meetings on Mondays at 10 AM: March 30: Kafka's "A Country Doctor" and "In the Penal Colony," and April 6: Kafka's "A Hunger Artist" and "A Report for an Academy."

The Existential Shelf will now be known as Reading Classics of 20th Century Literature!

Peter Vorkink, Chair of the Religion Department, Emeritus, at Phillips Exeter Academy, will lead a discussion on Franz Kafka's short stories "A Country Doctor" and "In the Penal Colony" on Monday, March 30.

Join us at the Author Fair to meet local authors and shop their books on Saturday, March 28 from 10 AM - 2 PM! Consider bringing a non-perishable item for St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter as well. Donations are not required to attend.

The Wandering Cook meets on Tuesday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 21 at 5:30 PM.

A no food cooking class. Come talk and learn about food from different cultures, techniques, and share recipes.

Grief Seminar with Bereavement Specialist Penny Remick on Thursday, April 9 from 1 PM - 2:30 PM in the Conference Room of the library.

Have you experienced the death of a loved one, a friend or other significant person in your life? Join us for a free seminar to explore role-loss and change after loss, and how to build purpose, meaning and motivation to journey into your personal future. Topics include assessing grief/loss, inventory after loss, lifestyle skills to rebuild, overcoming barriers, and stepping into possibility.

Understanding College Admissions with Robin Durawa on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 PM.

Join college coach Robin Durawa for an informative and encouraging conversation with a college counselor designed for high school students and their parents. This session will explore how to prepare for the college application process, what colleges look for in applicants, how grades, coursework, activities, essays, and recommendations work together, how to build a balanced college list, and how parents can best support their student.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and leave feeling more confident and prepared for the road ahead.

Drumming for Parkinson's and Elder Care with Randy Armstrong on Saturday, April 25 at 11 AM. Please contact the library to register.

Drumming has a long tradition in healing rituals around the world and has been used as a method of therapy to improve and increase muscle memory and motor skills.

Join us for this vibrant, rhythmic experience that engages, uplifts, and brings people together. Presented by Annie’s Angels and featuring guitarist, multi-Instrumentalist and world fusion music pioneer Randy Armstrong.

Celebrate the 250th Birthday of the USA with Exeter Parks & Recreation! Take a Coach bus to Danversport Yacht Club for a buffet brunch, then head into Boston for a private sail around the tall ships on the Provincetown III in Boston Harbor. See the sailing ships of the 18th and 19th centuries from the water. There will be light entertainment on board the P’town III. After sailing around the Tall Ships, they will depart for Exeter.

Join us for All Day Gaming on Mondays and Wednesdays, Teen Writing Group on Mondays at 3:30 PM, a new event every Tuesday at 3 PM, Anime Club on Thursdays at 3:30 PM, and Refreshing Fridays every Friday at 3 PM.

Music Makers is a first introduction into making music in various formats with one of our librarians who has musical experience!

This program offers an introduction to music through drumming and percussion, this will range from playing along with music, to so much more!

Gamers Guild: Ages 8-12 meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 5 PM.

Children can sign-up for Gamers Guild to play all manner of video games and compete against each other, or work together, in a safe and welcoming environment.

This program allows children to interact and grow their gaming skills together.

Groups are open to all experience levels – beginners to experts. There is someone willing to teach at each group. 

Language at the Library

Language Tables: Korean first and third Tuesday, Spanish Wednesdays at 12:30, Japanese Every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 4:30 PM, French Thursdays at 5:30 PM and Italian Saturdays at 10 AM.

Lamprey Health Care has partnered with St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter to make weekly visits to the Community Assistance Center at 53 Lincoln Street on Fridays from 9 AM - 12 PM. Walk-in registration – no appointment needed!
