Teens learned how to create flower wreaths for Teen Tuesday on May 19.

Exeter Rotary Club is also accepting donations for old hearing aids. Donations will be used to help others at the Rotary Hearing Clinic in the Dominican Republic.

Donate your soda tabs to help the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth.

Items can be placed in the boxes on the table next to the Adult Information Desk.

Playaway audiobooks available at Exeter Public Library

Check out the library's newest collection: Playaways! These devices make listening to audiobooks even easier. All you need is the preloaded device and a pair of headphones to listen to your book. The collection includes Adult fiction and nonfiction, plus a few Children's titles. Borrow one from the New Shelf today!

Seacoast Storytellers Meeting on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 PM.

Join the Seacoast Storytellers in Study Room 3 of the library on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 PM. All storytellers and story listeners are welcome!

The Wandering Cook will meet on Tuesday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 PM.

A no food cooking class. Come talk and learn about food from different cultures, techniques, and share recipes.

Art Talk with Sarah Koff: Woodcut and Environmental Stewardship: The Evolution of a Practice on Wednesday, June 3 at 11 AM.

Sarah Koff will be discussing the evolution and technique of her traditional woodcut practice, which in 2025 led her to be asked to create the Exeter 250th celebration poster.

Sarah is a woodcut printmaker who finds inspiration in the natural world. Her works have been included in exhibitions around the New England area, in solo exhibits at the AVA Gallery, the Firehouse Gallery in Newburyport, and the Forest Society.

Author Talk: Kristen M. Niedzielski on Wednesday, June 10 at 6 PM.

Join children’s author Kristen M. Niedzielski for a talk about her books: how she got her inspiration, how she created the characters, and why she illustrated them herself. Kristen will discuss how to get started on creating and publishing your own indie children’s book.

U.S. Independence 250th Celebration

First in the Nation: New Hampshire's 1776 Constitution to the Present NH Humanities Zoom Program on Friday, May 29 at 5 PM. Registration is required.

Join New Hampshire Humanities to watch a rebroadcast of a panel discussion about New Hampshire's constitution in the past and present, with Lorianne Updike Schulzke and Robert F. Williams, moderated by the Honorable N. William Delker. All three panelists will join after the rebroadcast to answer questions.

LEGO Free Build: Falls on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 3:30 - 5 PM.

Children aged 5-12 can join the Children’s Room for LEGO Free Build with our buckets of building blocks! For children under 5, there are DUPLO’s available!

Groups are open to all experience levels – beginners to experts. There is someone willing to teach at each group. 

Language at the Library

Language Tables: Korean first and third Tuesday, Spanish Wednesdays at 12:30, Japanese Every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 4:30 PM, French Thursdays at 5:30 PM and Italian Saturdays at 10 AM.
