The library accepts donations for St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter and Lions Club International

Consider donating non-perishable food items to support St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter or usable eyeglasses to help Lions Club International.

Exeter Rotary Club is also accepting donations for old hearing aids. Donations will be used to help others at the Rotary Hearing Clinic in the Dominican Republic.

Donate your soda tabs to help the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth.

Items can be placed in the boxes on the table next to the Adult Information Desk.

Reading Classics of 20th Cent. Literature Book Group: Monday, January 26: Postponed due to weather; Monday, February 2: 2nd half of Albert Camus's The Stranger; February 9: 1st half of Albert Camus's The Fall; February 23: 2nd half of Albert Camus's The Fall; March 2: Franz Kafka's short story "The Metamorphosis"; March 9: Franz Kafka's short "The Country Doctor."

The Existential Shelf will now be known as Reading Classics of 20th Century Literature!

Peter Vorkink, Chair of the Religion Department, Emeritus, at Phillips Exeter Academy, will lead a discussion on the second half of The Stranger by Albert Camus on Monday, February 2 at 10 AM.

Copies are available to be picked up at the Adult Information Desk. New members welcome!

The Wandering Cook will meet on Tuesday, February 3 and Tuesday, February 17 at 5:30 PM.

A no food cooking class. Come learn and talk about food from different cultures, techniques, and share recipes.

Starting in February, Japanese Table will meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 4:30 PM.

Lamont Poets Reading with Time Seibles on Wednesday, February 18 at 7:30 PM in the Phillips Church & Multi-faith Center.

Phillips Exeter Academy's Lamont Poetry Series continues with poet Tim Seibles on Wednesday, February 18 at 7:30 PM. Readings are followed by a book signing and are free and open to the public. This reading will be held in the Phillips Church and Multi-faith Center.

NH Philharmonic has changed its programming for February! Celebrate Valentine's Weekend with The Many Shades of Love on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 at 2 PM. An afternoon of arias will conclude with Sergei Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet. The orchestra also welcomes soloist Mark-Andrew Cleveland.

Kick off America’s 250th celebrations with Exeter Parks & Recreation at the educational presentation, The Evolution of a Holiday! Discover the past and present of the American Holiday, President’s Day, with Robin Shelgren from Learning through the Ages.

Participants will learn about our country’s presidents and the significance of George Washington and the Purple Heart while exploring fun facts and trivia about the U.S. Presidents.

Celebrate the 250th Birthday of the USA with Exeter Parks & Rec! We will be taking a Coach bus to Danversport Yacht Club for a buffet brunch, then head into Boston for a private sail around the tall ships on the Provincetown III in Boston Harbor. See the sailing ships of the 18th and 19th centuries from the water (we will not be going onto the ships). There will be light entertainment on board the P’town III. After sailing around the Tall Ships, we will depart for Exeter.

Registration for residents begins on Monday, February 2. Registration for non-residents begins on Monday, February 9.

Join us for All Day Gaming on Mondays and Wednesdays, Teen Writing Group on Mondays at 3:30 PM, a new event every Tuesday at 3 PM, Anime Club on Thursdays at 3:30 PM, and Refreshing Fridays every Friday at 3 PM.

Teen All Day Gaming every Monday and Wednesday in the Teen Scene.
Teen Writing Group meets on Mondays at 3:30 PM. Share what you're working on and get feedback from peers! Hear from guest speakers who are involved in the industry once a month!

Nifty Knitting: The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 3:30 - 5 PM.

Children ages 8-12 are welcome to join Nifty Knitting! You can join as a beginner, or an experienced knitter!

Learn how to knit coasters, coin purses, or work on your own project surrounded by other fiber artists!

Children can sign-up for Gamers Guild to play all manner of video games and compete against each other, or work together, in a safe and welcoming environment.

This program would allow children the chance to interact and grow their gaming skills together.

Thursday, February 5

Dungeons and Dragons: Prime Suspects (Ages 11-15) meet on the 1st Thursday of the month at 4 PM.

Children can sign-up for D&D to work together as a team to complete quests, slay monsters, and achieve personal and group goals within the game.

Through gameplay, players develop skills such as mathematics, teamwork, strategy, diplomacy, and multi-tasking.

D&D: Prime Suspects (Ages 11-15) meet on Thursday, February 5 at 4 PM.

Want to learn how to play a game? Want to make new connections in town? Join any of the many gaming groups at the library! 

Groups are open to all experience levels – beginners to experts. There is someone willing to teach at each group. 

Language at the Library

Language Tables: Korean first and third Tuesday, Spanish Wednesdays at 12:30, Japanese Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 3:30 PM, French Thursdays at 5:30 PM and Italian Saturdays at 10 AM.

Lamprey Health Care has partnered with St. Vincent de Paul of Exeter to make weekly visits to the Community Assistance Center at 53 Lincoln Street on Fridays from 9 AM - 12 PM. Walk-in registration – no appointment needed!
