Peter Vorkink, Chair of the Religion Department, Emeritus, at Phillips Exeter Academy, will lead a discussion on The Stranger and The Fall by Albert Camus.
The Stranger will be discussed on Monday, January 12th at 10 AM and The Fall will be discussed on Monday, January 26th at 10 AM. New members welcome! |

Peter Vorkink spent a month in the summer of 1964 working with Martin Luther King, Jr in St. Augustine, Florida, at a time of intense conflicts and controversies involving the civil rights of all Americans.
This family friendly program invites folks of all ages to connect with living history, and includes audiovisual materials drawn from Mr. Vorkink’s scrapbook assembled in 1964 as well as documentary video clips of the events in St. Augustine as they happened. |

Curious about poetry? Unsure where to start? Come to this two-session series where participants will read and discuss poetry, discover hidden meanings, and find inspiration for their own works. Led by Becky Moore, a retired English teacher. Poets to be discussed include Natasha Trethewey, Tracy K. Smith, Robert Frost, and other poet laureates.

Heavily based on a true story, the book spans both World Wars, introducing readers to unknown places, forgotten history, and a real-life heroine they'll cheer for. |

NH Philharmonic has changed its programming for February! Celebrate Valentine's Weekend with The Many Shades of Love on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 at 2 PM. An afternoon of arias will conclude with Sergei Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet. The orchestra also welcomes soloist Mark-Andrew Cleveland.

Nowadays, few people know about Paul Revere’s first ride, which was to Portsmouth in December 1774, or that New Hampshire’s Provincial Congress adopted the first state constitution on January 5, 1776, essentially declaring independence six months before anyone else. In this illustrated program, NH Historical Society’s Mary Adams will explore this fascinating history.

| Gamers Guild: Ages 6-8 meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 4:30 PM. Children can sign-up for Gamers Guild to play all manner of video games and compete against each other, or work together, in a safe and welcoming environment.
This program gives children the chance to interact and grow their gaming skills together. |

Dungeons & Dragons: Red Herrings (Ages 8-12) meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 4 - 6 PM. Children can sign-up for D&D to work together as a team to complete quests, slay monsters, and achieve personal and group goals within the game.
Through gameplay, players develop skills such as mathematics, teamwork, strategy, diplomacy, and multi-tasking. |
