This special week is all about the many ways libraries bring joy to our lives and strengthen our communities. Find your joy—it’s waiting for you at the library!
 
🎉 We’re kicking things off on April 18 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
with library- and book-themed crafts, games, and prizes. No registration necessary. Drop in any time.

⚡ Throughout the week, join in the fun with a Harry Potter scavenger hunt, I Spy, and plenty of exciting printable activities for all ages.
 
There’s something for everyone—come celebrate with us!
Creative Movement Story Time

Join Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet for a Creative Movement Story Time!
 
Children will enjoy an engaging story brought to life through music and movement, exploring basic dance concepts in a fun and imaginative way. It’s the perfect introduction to creative movement—encouraging coordination, confidence, and self-expression.
 
We look forward to dancing and storytelling with you!

The Great Puppy Craft-off

Calling all animal lovers! 🐶🎨
 
Come to our Puppy Craft Event where kids can create fun puppy-themed crafts, use their imagination, and take home their own handmade masterpieces. This interactive event encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and lots of smiles. Perfect for children who love dogs and crafting!

April 2
Marble Maze Challenge
Get ready to build, create, and compete in the LEGO Marble Maze Challenge! Participants will use LEGO bricks and their imagination to design and construct a unique maze that guides a marble from start to finish. Test your engineering skills, creativity, and problem-solving as you experiment with different paths, obstacles, and designs.
 
Once your maze is complete, put it to the test and see how smoothly your marble travels. Will it twist, turn, and race to the finish—or get stuck along the way? Participants can refine and improve their designs to achieve the best results.
 
 The LEGO Marble Maze Challenge is a fun and engaging way to explore basic engineering concepts while having a great time!

April 23
Build a Bird Feeder
Join us for a fun and creative hands-on program where you’ll design and build your very own bird feeder! Using simple materials, participants will learn how to create a feeder that attracts local birds while providing them with a safe place to eat.
 
This program offers a great opportunity to explore nature, practice basic crafting skills, and learn about the different types of birds in your area. Participants will also discover what kinds of seeds and foods attract specific birds and how to care for their feeder at home.
 
By the end of the session, you’ll take home a finished bird feeder ready to hang in your yard, along with tips on how to observe and identify your feathered visitors. It’s a great way to connect with nature and bring a little wildlife right to your window!

Our Tales for TAILS (Therapy Animals Increase Literacy Skills) Program is an effective and fun way to improve children's reading and communication skills though the assistance of registered pet therapy teams as literacy mentors. The child reads to the pet as the pet quietly sits or lies close by. The child is encouraged to pet, engage, and connect with the pet. 
 
Please bring several books at your child's reading level that they can read to the dogs.

Get a Clue - Five Clue Challenge
All over the world, people live in diverse regions, and climates with different animals, plants, and interesting nuances. We’ll watch short videos where you will get 5 clues to guess a location, animal, or person. Your mission is to do research and figure out the answer to each challenge in as few clues as possible. Have fun! 
 
Laptops will be available, but please feel free to bring your own device.

Does your child love making crafts? Then make time for Craft-A-Palooza! Each child can make two crafts. One craft will follow simple instructions or an example. The second craft, our “craft challenge,” is based on a monthly theme and will allow your child to express their creativity and individuality.
