April Reading Challenge, Tearex Party, Cheer Demo, and more! Spring is here, and we have a new Reading Challenge to celebrate making it through the winter months! Track your reading to earn cheerful badges and Reading Dragon Cards throughout the month. Ready, set, and watch yourself blossom! Sign up on Beanstack today! Tech Club is back this month with a music coding project from Code.org. We'll be using their Music Lab platform to remix popular songs, with the opportunity for them to create their own song. Registering is the only way to ensure you can attend. You may have noticed that we haven't been streaming on Twitch in the past few months. This is due to tech issues with my computer. We now have to rebuild some of the streaming settings. I apologize for the delay in getting back on Twitch. We plan to bring it back as soon as we can. Mama Bear Support GroupThursdays Monthly at 10 am April 16 & May 14 Share your feelings and concerns with other moms in an accepting environment. We’ll have toys available for children to play with, and a library staff member will facilitate the discussion. This program is not a replacement for mental health services but an opportunity to feel less isolated on your journey as a parent or guardian.

 Read with Dogs 2nd Monday Once a Month at 6:30 pm April 13, May 11 Sit with licensed therapy dogs, and read a story of your choosing! You’ll have 15 minutes to read and pet a loveable dog! There will be two dogs. Drop In

Cheer Demo with the Y:Owlettes Cheer with You! Planned for Grades K through 5 Saturday, April 18 at 1 pm COME AND GET YOUR SPRING CHEER ON – The YMCA Owlettes will demo for you and teach you some fun cheers to try with them! Bring your spunk and cheer voices, and be prepared for some fun! This event will be held outside. We suggest bringing your favorite outdoor chair or beach towel to sit on. This program will be in our Youth Room if there are weather issues.

Tech Club Grades 3-7 Select Wednesdays at 4 pm April 8 & 22 Explore technology and coding in this club for kids looking to get hands-on experience using different tech! In April, we'll be doing an intro to coding using the Music Lab tutorial from Code.org.

Free Comic Book Day Comics for Kids, Teens, and Adults! Saturday, May 2 Pop by the library on Free Comic Book Day to pick up free comics! We will have a variety of comics for various ages on tables in front of our slatwall, with a limit of 5 per person.

Art Unlimited Grades 6-12 Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 pm April 14 & 28: Zines Join us at the library as we craft and create! Each month will feature a different art medium and project, some lasting two weeks. Get your creativity flowing with your friends! Attendance at both sessions is required.

We are now fully staffed but are experiencing tech issues that are delaying our return to streaming. We plan to bring Twitch back as soon as possible. Once everything is back up and running, we will do some pop-up streams for special events to ensure everything is working properly before continuing with our regular schedule.
