A friend recommended that I read this book. 

It takes place in a dystopian society where children are chosen every year to compete in the Hunger Games. Katniss Everdeen, a girl from district 12 only wants to protect her sister Prim, until Prim's name is chosen.

 

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was action packed, with strong world building, and has characters you will grow to love.
