A Note from the Director:

March is Reading Month, and this year, we “mustache” you… what are YOU reading?

As we look ahead to spring and the fresh energy it brings, March is the perfect time to grow something wonderful — a love of reading. Whether it’s a bedtime story, a favorite chapter book, or a quiet moment with a novel and a cup of tea, reading creates connection, imagination, and lifelong memories.

One of the best things happening in the library right now is seeing families reading together, children excited to pick out their next book, and neighbors sharing recommendations. There is truly something special waiting for everyone on the shelves.

And speaking of things growing… our Seed Library opens March 14th! Whether you’re planting tomatoes, flowers, or just the idea of trying something new, it’s the perfect reminder that great things start small, just like a single page.
We invite you to stop in, explore, and celebrate reading with us this month. And the next time we see you… we (mustache) you — what are YOU reading?

Nikki’s Book Recommendation Corner
Wreck by Catherine Newman

Are you a slightly neurotic mother that thinks your kids are the greatest things since sliced bread? Guilty. Or maybe you're married to that person, or was raised by a mildly smothering mother. Honestly, if you just like to chuckle at the ridiculousness of life, this book is for you.
Rocky is in the Sandwich generation, where your kids haven't quite flown the coop and your parents are in need of some parenting themselves. It's a tender time, and Rocky doesn't necessarily handle it well, but she handles it with overwhelming amounts of love and questionable advice.
I loved the first book with Rocky, Sandwich, but Wreck might be better and more universally relatable. In this one she gets fixated on a loss of a young person in the community, and she has to grapple with the fact that maybe our kids aren't always perfect, that they may not hold your family values as tightly as you do.

The Crossroads by C. J. Box
The Crossroads
by C. J. Box

Game warden Joe Pickett fights for his life as his daughters try to uncover who shot him and left him for dead in this riveting new novel from #1 New York Times bestseller C. J. Box. Marybeth Pickett gets the call she has always dreaded: her husband Joe is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. Joe was found in his pickup at Antler Creek Junction, a crossroads connecting three ranches. Each road leading to a dangerous family. Each family with a different bone to pick with the local game warden. Marybeth and the new sheriff assume that Joe was ambushed by one of the families, but they have no idea which one since Joe didn't say where he was going or why. With Joe unconscious and fighting for his life with Marybeth at his side, Sheridan, April, and Lucy split up and investigate each of families to uncover the truth of what happened to their father, before it's too late.
Boleyn Traitor
by Philippa Gregory

Jane Boleyn watches from the shadows of the Tudor court, where secrets are currency, every choice is dangerous, and even the faintest whisper can seal the fate of queens. For Jane, survival demands playing every role required of her: a loving wife who conceals her doubts, a devoted sister to Anne Boleyn at the height of her power, and an obedient spy who carefully wields her words. But in a court ruled by ambition and a tyrant's sword, Jane must rely on her sharp wit and skillful maneuvering to outthink those around her, knowing that one wrong move could cost her everything--

More Than Enough
by Anna Quindlen

A woman confronts the surprising results of an ancestry test and begins to question the meaning of family and friendship. High school English teacher Polly Goodman can talk about everything and anything with the women in her book club, which is why they've become her closest friends and, along with her veterinarian husband, the bedrock of her life. Her students, her fraught relationship with her mother, her struggles with IVF--Polly's book club friends have heard about it all. But when they give Polly an ancestry test kit as a joke, the results match her with a stranger. It is clear to Polly that this match is a mistake, but still she cannot help but comb through her family history for answers. Then, when it seems that the book club circle of four will become three, Polly learns how friendships can change your life in the most profound ways. Written with Anna Quindlen's trademark warmth, humor, and insight into the power of love and hope, More Than Enough explores how we find ourselves again and again through the relationships that define us.
