From the Director... Cindi L. Place Our Festival of Stories during the month of October has been a resounding success! With 12 programs and over 150 participants, we are very pleased with the success of this month long event. Festival of Stories was funded by a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council. Plan to stop by the library beginning the middle of November to enjoy our indoor StoryWalk with a braille component. The walk will stay up through the end of November and will include a "code" so everyone can experience the use of Braille which following the story. Our outdoor StoryWalk has a new book (books are changed about once a month) on the Cedar River Trail at the Antrim Conservation District (ACD). November's story is "We're Going on a Leaf Hunt" by Steve Metzger. We also want to remind patrons of a fairly new program available to BPL patrons and community members: updated book lists or newsletters, which you can choose to have sent to you by email or texts. Library Aware's NextRead is a new service offered by Bellaire Public Library for free to everyone. You can choose to sign up to receive over 30 different best seller lists each month from topics like Biography, Audiobooks, History and Current Events, Teen Scene, Picture Books, Must Read, Thriller & Suspense and so much more.
