As the end of the year approaches we look forward to welcoming you to the library for some of the upcoming events and activities at the Alameda Free Library.
Join us on December 2, at 2:00PM in the Stafford Room at the Main Branch for an engaging session with author Susan Kiyo Ito, sharing her new book I Would Meet You Anywhere. Susan’s memoir is about her experience growing up with adoptive Nisei parents and her search for answers, history, and identity. It is available at the library for check out or through Link+.

Saturday, December 2nd, 2 PM | MAIN.Author Talk: Susan Kiyo Ito. Ito discusses her recently published memoir, I Would Meet You Anywhere. Growing up with adoptive nisei parents, Ito knew only that her birth mother was Japanese American and her father white. But finding and meeting her birth mother in her early twenties was only the beginning of her search for answers, history and identity.
Tuesday, December 12th, 6PM | MAIN. Internet Basics. Class covers completing a website search, saving images and printing them, general browser tools like bookmarks, internet security, safe passwords, and making a safe purchase on the internet. Participants are welcome to bring their own devices or use one of the lab’s computers. Registration is required. Please visit the library website to sign up.
